Great place for a date night or any occasion. Really tasty food and good service every time. Favourites include the calamari dinner or roast lamb dinner. The platter serves a group of 4 – 5 and has a little bit of everything.

The best Greek food you will ever taste. I live in Seattle and every time I’m in Ladner visiting family I always stop and enjoy the delicious cusine at Taverna Gorgona. My family and I have ordered everything on the menu and not once have we ever been disappointed. My favorite dishes are the roast lamb and seafood fetuccini. Wait staff are always friendly and professional. The owner even comes out once in a while to greet his customers and offers sambuca on the house! What else can you ask for? Stop by and you will not regret it.

Came here Saturday night with family for my daughter’s 18th birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious including the heavenly strawberry cheesecake which was a complimentary dessert because of the occasion. Great service and the waitresses are a lovely bunch. The one who served us was very pretty and extremely nice. No complaints whatsoever except for the prices which are on the high side.

Came here for my Dad’s birthday and was really happy with the food/service. Staff was nice enough to to give us a cake to celebrate! Ordered the Combination platter which had a sampling of the different souvlaki. All the food was great and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely go back… Beats all the Greek restaurants in Richmond that’s for sure!

I’ve been to Taverna Gorgona for lunches and dinners and always loved the food! The prices are, yes, a little higher, but you get what you pay for– enough food for plenty of leftovers tomorrow. The ambiance is absolutely beautiful, the waitstaff are usually attentive, and typically the food is timely. I’m not an adventurous eater by any stretch, but the lamb souvlaki is always from a good cut, and all the sides are flavourful and well cooked. I’ve ordered take-out before as well and the food is well packaged and not terribly bulky to carry back to your destination. The only qualm I have is that, on two occasions, the food service has been /ludicrously/slow. Like, we-waited-over-an-hour-for-our-food slow. The ambiance and the company were good, and the waitstaff were clearly annoyed with the pace of the kitchen, but kept drinks full and came by to check on us as best they could. I’ve been here so many times though that I suppose you can’t always have 100% amazing, so I won’t dock it a star. Overall, it’s wonderful if you’re in Ladner in the mood for greek!

Took the family to the restaurant on a Saturday night. Arrived around 7 pm and the restaurant was about three quarters full. Within a minute of arriving we were greeted and seated. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice, but not overly fancy. The lighting, candles and music made us feel like we were miles away from the dreary weather of outside. The table service was pleasant and efficient. We ordered when ready and were served quickly. The food tasted great. Sometimes at Greek restaurants the lemon potatoes and rice sides can be dry or just boring. That wasn’t the case at this restaurant. Everybody really enjoyed the tastiness and for once ate all of the side dishes on their plates. Overall we had a great night out at the restaurant and plan to come back again.

Great Greek food in Ladner I went here with a party of four(4) and it was a great meal. The prices are a bit above average, but you’re paying for the ambiance. There is a wall full of awards and it really is one of the most romantic date spots in Ladner. As far as the cuisine, you won’t find any fusion tastes here, just classic Greek recipes done well. We started with the meze platter and taramosalata. Their pita was warm and fresh, and the calamari were top notch. The meze platter was a good sized appetizer to split between four people. I’d say it would be a meal for just a couple of people. I enjoyed the roast lamb(it was very good) and my girlfriend enjoyed the chicken soulvaki. We would recommend both. Our friends had the moussaka and the lamb soulvaki. They were equally happy. The portions were good, and everyone was full. We all ended up taking home leftovers and enjoyed them the next day.
