Coming from out of town with mangled acrylic nails, I was in desperate need of a repair and fill. I am WAY picky with my nail technicians and hairdressers… I’ve had my fair share of hair and nail nightmares with people who just simply don’t know what they are doing! This place is a rare gem. She not only has one of the sweetest temperaments I’ve come across in the nail business, but she also is very accommodating and knows what she’s doing. She takes her time and has a definite sense of pride in her work. Her and the other young lady working with her were wonderful! Very attentive and their attention to detail is absolutely noticed. I will be going back. I HIGHLY recommend these ladies — two of the best I’ve seen in my 15 yrs. or so of having nail services.

Visited Fancy Nails for the first time today while visiting from Calgary and I must say, I was very impressed with this salon. They were so nice and friendly and I felt so relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed the pedicure experience. Plus, it is super cheap. $ 28 total! Pretty amazing!

This place was recommended to me by a friend. We called in for an appointment (on a busy Mother’s Day no less) and were in a chair only a couple hours later. Super friendly staff and great end result. Both my manicure and pedicure look fantastic and it was only $ 40 total! I will make this my usual place in Halifax!

Of course Fancy Nails isn’t going to be a five star pedicure in terms of a spa like experience but for the price point, it’s exceeds expectations. The pedicure was super cheap at $ 28 taxes included and met all the basic requirements. The service was spectacular though, everyone there was so nice, including the other clients. If you’re looking for a well priced basic service, this is your spot!

I loved the shop-​owner, she was very sweet but unfortunately I can’t give her a good review.
I asked for gel nails and instead of telling me she doesn’t have liquid gel she went ahead and used powder. I also showed a specific photo of what I wanted but she didn’t want to do it. She did a great job shaping the nails but the plain black paint job was smudged in places and didn’t look very professional.
Probably not the best place to go if you want designs or more complicated nail art.

This is a great place to get your nails done. They have a great polish selection. The service is terrific. I have tried gel and regular polish both with great results. Check it out while downtown!

Okay, while the service was lovely, the product hasn’t lasted as well as hoped. They showed pull-​away four days after the appointment and I just had three peel off, less than two weeks later. Sigh.

What a jewel this shop is. Made a last minute appt for my hub and she fit us in promptly. Great pedicure for him with a very sweet and kind lady. He was in heaven. Location isn’t the greatest as it’s sort of hiding on the 2nd floor of a large building. Thank you so much for a great experience.

I called Fancy Nails at 3 p.m. in desperate, desperate need of a manicure. Not just a please-​buff-​and-​polish-​my-​otherwise-​perfect-​natural-​nails manicure. No, no. I was in need of a full-​on hand overhaul. Well, colour me impressed. Not only did this fantastic lady fit me in *that* afternoon; she also did a fantastic job in less than 45 minutes. And guys? It was like 40 bucks. Ergo, happy Sarah.
