I base this on the service not the actual baking. The baking is amazing. The cakes moist and not too sweet. However, the last time I was there, it was just painful. I waited for about 20 mins. After they served everyone around me and the«servers» simply forgot that I wanted to purchase a cake and order another for a event. It was the actual Baker who was helpful. Doubt, I will return due to the terrible service.

I love this gem of a café! When I moved to the neighbourhood and saw Wild Earth on the corner I knew I was going to love living here and I was right! I’ve been frequenting the café for over three years and love that it is such a vibrant gathering place that really enhances the sense of community in the neighbourhood. The baked treats are sinfully good and the selection of snacks, soups and sandwiches are always top-notch. I, myself, am addicted to their ginger cookies, and I’m also a fan of the matcha lattes as well!

The service leaves a bit to be desired. Staff can’t answer any questions because they are just there to pump out pre-packaged foods and overpriced cakes. The special brew coffee that my friend ordered had been sitting in the earn for a while. He assumed that he was getting a fresh cup of coffee. My tea was fine, but my cup had a large chip on the rim. Not cool. I like the music and the seating. In warmer months, you can sit outside. There is plenty to read and it’s clean and spacious. I like it better than chains like Starbucks. The hours are decent.

My review is solely based on service. If you love a good London fog, you will never be dissappointed and the baked goods are incredible. Let me preface this by saying, I have worked in customer service for my entire adult life and I was very dissapointed with the cashier. After making my order, I noticed a sign saying that they now offer coconut milk. I politely asked the cashier if I could change the latte to one with coconut milk. She rolled her eyes and sighed… oh I’m sorry, did pressing that one button really put you out that badly? Let’s chalk this up to a bad day, perhaps. After I order she points to the end of the bar with a straight face and says, you can wait over there. No thank you, no smile, no nothing. I will think twice about spending 6 dollars on a latte here again.

Love their chai latte. Never fails me. Creamy, tasty, yummy. Almond milk and they can still create some foam for me. Tickles me to my toes. And yes, I concur their pumpkin white chocolate or raspberry white chocolate scones are brilliant — they sold out just as I was paying so I got a raspberry white chocolate tartlet. OMG. Hello little sweetie, where you been hiding? No better way to warm up on this cool, grey fall day.

I’ve always loved the food, desserts, and the coffee here. I also appreciate the fair trade aspect and the fact that Wild Earth is a good employer, from what I hear. My complaint comes from the lack of wi-fi — either the owners are such hippies that they’re wearing tin foil hats(and probably don’t vaccinate) or they’re too cheap to pay for it. In my mind, coffee = productivity, and I would get so much work done here(especially late Friday nights) if they would just provide that one service to their customers. Sorry to say I would have been a loyal customer of Wild Earth all winter long, but this is a deal breaker.

I enjoyed a blueberry tart and lavender tea from this little café. Most of the baked goods were sold out when I got there. They should top up on their selection throughout the day. There was a good selection of loose tea leaves to choose from as well. My lavender tea was aromatic and light tasting. The cashier was new. She made multiple transaction mistakes. Hope she gets better at her job soon.

I used to come to Wild Earth when I worked super early mornings. I’d pick up a latte, and either some raspberry white chocolate scones, or a couple slices of banana bread. Everything is super fresh, and absolutely delicious. I prefer to go earlier in the day where there is more product and it’s still warm, but any time is a good time for a treat!

Found this gem of a place that makes vegan rolls(awesome!!) and muffins. The lemon poppyseed is my favorite Girls are efficient and friendly, even a long line moves faster. Go try and decide for yourself

Definitely a step up from Tim Hortons, I ordered an iced chai latte and a peanut butter rice crispy roll and they were both delicious. Also grabbed a Nanaimo square and chocolate banana loaf to go. The base was pretty dry and sadly not that great. My SO loved the banana bread, said it was wicked. Bottom line, good place to stop for a drink. Just not that big of a fan of the treats.

I stopped in here this morning on my way to an appointment. On the outside, it is nothing special. However on the inside, the décor is very rustic looking. It was very warm and welcoming. All of the pastries and desserts looked delicious! If I lived close by, I would probably be spending a lot of time here. I ordered a whole wheat cinnamon bun with raisins and a cranberry apple tea. I was amazed at the selection of loose leaf teas. The cinnamon bun was DELICIOUS! The tea was also good. I also picked up a couple of treats for my dogs-which they loved! My only complaint was the service. I would have liked to see more welcoming service, with greetings and thank yous. I received none of that. Maybe I expected a friendlier welcome, seeing as it is a smaller, non-chain bakery and coffee shop. However, I have gotten better customer service at Second Cup and Starbucks.

Great atmosphere, great food if your a vegetarian,(I forgot until after I started eating the Mediterranean panini). Didn’t have lactose free milk which sucks, and soy or almond ruin the taste of a latte. Sat outside reading my book on a lazy Monday afternoon! Great afternoon spent. I don’t have a dog, but I love the fact that there are water dishes outside for them!

My wife and I walked in this afternoon for a late afternoon snack. Nice selection of interesting sodas in the cooler and we each had a side salad. She had a Greek salad, and I had the Vegan bean salad. Both were nice servings for the Small and it was very pleasant to eat outside and around the corner from the very busy 99 Street. Comfortable looking place, the washrooms were downstairs and everything was interesting and clean. Part of a little string of interesting places with the Organic Market, Ristorante and Wine Bar all in a row. When in the neighborhood, would stop in again.

Do you need a birthday cake? From Wild Earth, yes you do! :) My favourite, and IMO, best café in Edmonton. Fresh food galore! Delectable baked cakes — moist and decadent! Espressso deep and rich. Baristas wonderful morning people. Brightly lit, soft music. A place you can write a novel or catch up with a friend, or indulge in a perfect croissant. Bring your hotspot if you’d like to catch up on the laptop. This is a wonderful place for people who actually read the morning newspaper or a new novel.

I want to like Wild Earth Bakery, I really do. I think the owners are cool/interesting people and I love the location in Edmonton, but there’s just a couple of things that irk me about Wild Earth. Firstly, no wi-fi. I have to write this review from home because there’s no wi-fi. Who knows maybe if i was sitting in the café updating my Instagram and checking my email I might also throw in a positive review for Wild Earth but I can’t because no wi-fi. It seems like a petty complaint but really a hipster coffee bar should have wi-fi. Next, didn’t really enjoy the food all that much. I don’t want to say the food wasn’t made in house but something just didn’t taste good about the breakfast burrito(I’m hoping it wasn’t a Sysco product but it tasted a little like opened from a bag and put on the grill) with all that said I do think it’s a pretty cute place. Small tweaks and this place could move up to a 5 in my books. Oh ya and it needs air conditioning! My heart breaks for their sweaty staff on hot days!

Wild Earth Bakery and Café on 99St is an awesome little bakery and coffee shop. They have some great seating inside and during the warmer months some outside spots as well. I have tried many of the muffins, croissants, bread and non-coffee drinks(sorry can’t comment on the coffee as I don’t drink it) and have always been impressed with their products. You can buy fresh loaves of bread here and they have always been fantastic! They also have vegetarian and gluten free options if you need that. At the front till they usually have a basket of dogs treats as well that you can pick up for your furry friends. If you are on 99 St. and want to stop for littler food or coffee break this is a great choice!

Great baked goods, you must try the raspberry white chocolate scones!!! This cozy café is one of my favourites in the city, they offer a wide selection of tasty treats, coffees and teas. They have great outdoor seating in the summer and a warm and cozy environment inside for the rest of the year. Very friendly staff, and fresh baked goods made in house. You must check it out, but get there early especially on weekends as they are very busy.

It’s not how I remembered it. Stopped by on a Wednesday afternoon to pick up a simple 16oz mocha. Aside from the fact that my order interaction felt robotic, my mocha was forgotten during a crazy rush of three people! The whipping cream was sloppily plopped on top. And the temperature was so hot I almost burned my mouth. For $ 5.25 the least I can ask for is a decent temperature, no? I usually treat myself to nice coffee once a week which makes me happy. However, I didn’t enjoy my experience this time. :( It seems like there is so much less energy here now. More than half of the space on the pastry window was empty. Wouldn’t you want it to be full for the morning rush? I don’t know. Is it that a Starbucks seems more appealing now? I didn’t ever think I’d say those words. 3 Stars instead of 2 because I know they can do better.

I had originally given Wild Earth 4 stars because I enjoy the atmosphere of the café, the selection of loose teas, their homemade soups, and delicious baked bread. Recently I have had some disappointing experiences at this location. The cashiers seem to be uninterested in taking orders/helping customers. I have had my drink order forgotten twice the last two times I was there(just ordered brewed coffee to go). After trying vainly to get the attention of a barista, I finally managed to ask if my drink had been skipped and was given a look that could be described as «So, what?». I would also add that the sugar-free muffins near the front of the till are often put on display while still frozen inside. I bought one to go, and was let down when I found it to still be an ice chunk. A bakery serving frozen pastries? Come on guys, you used to have this place down to a tee, and now it feels like it’s heading down.

This is one of my favorite bakeries in Edmonton. It is nice, cozy and customer service is great. I’ve tried their strawberry rhubarb and crème brûlée tarts($ 3 ea.) and they’re fantastic. Also, if you order some chocolate milk($ 2.50), they will make it for you and you will get it in a nice mason jar. I’ve also tried their chorizo scramble and iced coffee, which are pretty descent if you ask me. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their baked goods. I’ve heard their raspberry white chocolate scone is fantastic so that’ll be next on my list.
