This might be YEG’s next best kept secret. I’ve had phở in the past at many establishments across the city, none compare to this restaurant’s quality. I’m fussy with meat. Other places i have gone to, the meat placed in the phở is overcooked, rubbery and tasteless. Pholangs is not. Add their amazing housemade stocks that are made the real way — bones, spices, meat, etc — you have some amazing vietnamese soup. But don’t stop there. They also hand make all their salad and spring rolls which are really, really good. I’ve tried their spring rolls and tofu salad rolls. They will not disappoint. Their onion cakes are also cooked to perfection. If you want to be a bit adventurous, try their shrimp sausage. It’s tasty. Now, the dish that blew me away was their Beef Stew. I have no idea what they put in this but .amazing!!! This unassuming bowl accompanied with steamed rice looks small but don’t let that deter you. It is really filling and packed with flavour. The establishment is quite new. So don’t be disappointed if you are the only person in the restaurant. Give it time and I think it will be packed all the time. I suggest you go try them out. All my friends that I have brought here have been very impressed.

This restaurant just opened and already this is my «go-to Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton». Modern décor. Friendly staff. No MSG and the broth is made from bones– not a Knorr base. I give it 6 stars out of 5! Soon to be the talk of the town!
