Do not go here. I was with Natasha. I asked for lowlights closer to my natural colour and some highlights. As she was doing the foils, I noticed they were pretty far from the root but felt too awkward to say anything. At one point the owner came over and started putting foils in too which I found odd. The highlights ended up being so far from the root and when I pulled my hair back they were horrible. The cut was awful with big chunks missing in the front, you can see in the picture.

I never, ever write reviews… but this one has to be done. My brother and his fiancée was getting married in February, and they are from out of town. My former boss(hairstylist) was already booked with another wedding. Since the bride was getting ready at my home, we decided to book a salon in the neighborhood. We booked the appointment in early December and were told a price for the trial and ‘day of bridal hair’, but we were charged on each day(this may have been our misunderstanding, but it should have been more clear). We should have known that this salon was not a good idea back then as the front desk seemed and hairstylist seemed to be trying to find the ‘right’ person for the ‘bridal hair’ task. The bride came for her trial while I was out of town in January. That went horribly wrong. I had asked the bride to bring pictures of what she wanted, so they could see and duplicate. All she wanted was her hair half up with soft curls. The girl that was doing it, couldn’t. She tried twice and failed twice. The problem was what happened afterwards. My sister in law, was back home(5 hours away) when the salon started texting her ‘Are you sure you want your hair done with us’, ‘Maybe you should look for another salon’… Finally my sister in law called to see what was going on. They then told her that the girl had quit, and that they didn’t think they would have enough people to do her hair and the 4 others that wanted their hair done as well. Then they started texting her that it was fine, they figured it out and would ‘bring someone in’ from another salon to do her hair. This went on till a few weeks before the wedding. I wanted to look for another salon, but was still out of town till the week before the wedding. It was too late to find a different salon with 5 spots available near us. So I told her to get her hair done with them, and that if it didn’t turn out I would fix it. So we kept our appointments. The morning of the wedding… the bride, and 3 others showed up for their appointment at ten. The salon wasn’t ready, in fact the stylists arrived after them. When I walked in 20 minutes later with my mother, they were still looking for curling irons/flat irons. My mother has super short hair, and would have taken less then 20 minutes to wash/blow dry and set for hair and was the fifth person with the appointment. The front desk person went around to every stylist asking them if they could do my mothers hair. They just kept passing the ‘job’ around onto other stylist. The brides 12 year old daughter also wanted to have her hair half up with curls. As they curled the hair, they didn’t use any product and the curls were pretty much gone half an hour after we left the salon. My other sister in law had to help re-curl her entire head. Then I finished putting it half up. The same girl ended up doing my mothers hair… and she still didn’t use product. She charged my mother over $ 20 and didn’t even wash her short hair and blow it out. She just blow dried my mom’s existing dried hair. When I asked her if she was going to piece it out with product, she said ‘no, I don’t want to weigh it down.’ I also had to do my mothers hair. Their was only ONE person who was satisfied with her hair. I had to redo everyone else’s hair when I came home. The bride… wow… who knew that curling hair and putting it half up was such a task. Since that wasn’t going how she hoped, I suggested we just put the hair up like in one of her pictures. It was hard for me not to jump in and take over at this point(being a former hairstylist.) The picture she wanted had the bulk of the hair pinned up softly at the nape of her neck. The hairstylist kept pinning it higher and higher… long story short… she left looking like she was on ‘Little house on the prairie.’ Needless to say, when we went to get her make up done… she was in tears. I reassured her that I would fix it. and I did… like the pictures she had. The best thing about this salon is the way it looks. Everyone inside of it seems unprofessional, disorganized, and cheap on the products.

Michael Charles is a local salon and spa with a professional-looking website, competitive pricing and a wide-variety of services. My first and only visit here was for a scheduled pedicure($ 65) and a brow wax($ 15). I was taken to a calming private room for both of these, but was highly disappointed when there was not even a massage chair for the pedicure. Both services were done fairly well by a recent beauty school graduate but the quality simply wasn’t there for the price which was paid. Additionally, while I’d booked with ample time before several other appointments in the day, the services took much more time than expected and left me scrambling instead of relaxing by the end. Despite sharing part of its name with Eveline Charles, the two have little else in common and should not be confused. After my hair appointment at Eveline Charles later in that same day, I was truly regretful that I hadn’t paid a little extra to go there for everything. I won’t make that mistake again!
