Highly recommended. Nice small salon attended by friendly staff. I went in for bikini waxing sessions plus a pedicure, and both were to my satisfaction. Very clean atmosphere. Unfortunately, the drive from my residence is longer than I care for it to be.

So happy to have found Mélange Salon & Spa. The place smells ridiculously good and the staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I always leave feeling spoiled!

Love this salon and all the lovely ladies that work there. Always friendly and you feel like you are at home. Have only had my haircut there and have had a great experience every time and most importantly, I have never left feeling like I didn’t get what I want. My hair are long, straight and plain, (not even bangs), and so I usually only need a trim so I took a star away as I find it a bit too pricey for just an inch off the ends. I also bring one of my teen daughters here and she loves it as well. The pricing for her is reasonable. I recommend you give it a try!

Amazing experience! Got a gift certificate for my birthday and had never been here before. I had Jill and she was just awesome! She had some great suggestions for my hair and it turned out wonderfully! I can’t wait to go back on the 30^th.

I went for a Brazilian wax with Jessica today and it was the best one I’ve ever had — she was welcoming, an excellent communicator, and somehow made the whole process seem far less painful than my previous experiences. Will definitely come back here for this service!

The customer service at Mélange is excellent! I purchase my shampoo and other beauty products here. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, attentive and really go the extra mile customer service-​wise. I needed a little bang trim once and they gave me a complimentary trim on a walk in basis at that. Keep up the good work Mélange!

Easy to book online, prompt response, always friendly and helpful. Products are safe for all hair types, like mine thin and damaged.
Jill is an excellent stylist and works hard to understand my needs.

I have been going to Mélange for over a year now and am very pleased with this salon! Christina does my cut and color, and she does a beautiful job. I have long blond hair, and I’m thrilled to say she’s never given me leapard spots, or «bleed through» spots when doing low lights and highlights. Great products (Kevin Murphy) and great proximity to my home!

I’m going to second the review that states that this salon does not value its customers.
I was on the cancellation list and the lady named Andrea left me a voicemail at 4:00 PM letting me know that a spot became available and asking me to call back if I wish to take it. I called back at 4:02 PM to speak to Andrea who told me that she already gave the appointment to the next person on her cancellation list because they happened to pick up the phone when she called. She didn’t even give me 5 minutes to respond?! Why leave a voicemail asking me to call back if you were not waiting for my callback? I have worked in customer service before and I know enough that no company is going to succeed if they treat ther current or prospective clients poorly.
I live in Ellerslie and was considering trying out this salon because it’s closer to me than my usual salon, the Beauty Parlour on Whyte Ave. The Beauty Parlour also uses KEVIN. MURPHY products that are gentle on your hair, I always get excellent service and a fabulous cut and colour when I go there.

The salon is really into holistic/​organics if you are into that. I saw Angie the owner before she had the baby. I saw her several times. She had her own agenda with my hair each time and didn’t do what I requested. The staff turnover is fairly high and kinda makes me wonder. Overall the salon thinks they are better than they really are.

I think its a great idea to have an online booking system — when it works.
I reserved my original appointment and was emailed that the stylist wasn’t available, so I was offered another stylist (Thai) for the same time. When I agreed to go ahead with the new stylist I was then emailed that Thai was now booked for that time (after having been offered that appointment) and I would actually be seen at a later time.
I ended up having to call them to confirm my appointment because they never confirmed my appointment with the new time by email (or called) so it really was a waste of time to use the online booking system.
I was really looking forward to going to the salon, however when I got there someone I know from my personal life was already there, her stylist went out of her way to keep her hidden and not have us in the same area at the same time (ie, keeping her chair turned from mine, whispering, moving her to a sink with a wall between us) which is great that she wants to keep things private for HER client, but it made me feel REALLY uncomfortable and like I shouldn’t be there. Hopefully she doesn’t do this to everyone that happens to know someone at the salon because it really makes you feel bad!
My stylist Thai is new to the salon but she was great, she listened to exactly what I wanted and I left with a great cut and colour, I would recommend her if you are thinking of getting your hair done at Mélange Salon. I cannot fault her and actually would have given a higher rating if it hadn’t been for the other stylist making me feel so uncomfortable.

I have been coming here for a while now. I have extremely thick hair, and this is the only place I have found in Edmonton that actually knows how to cut and show me how to reproduce the style without my hair looking like a mushroom. I am always pleased every time I go. To top it off, the staff are super friendly and are just ace. Highly recommend this place!
