Starbucks

This is a fast and efficient ‘bucks. Store is clean and turn over, fast. There aren’t many wall plugs so don’t plan on plugging in your gadgets!

The one by the apple store is always the fastest and the staff is super fun and friendly! I am always so appalled how rude customers are though. Give the people working there a break and if you have a hissy fit because you have to wait 2 mins for your food or coffee then you have bigger issues.

The newest of the Starbucks in Market Mall, this one is always buzzing. I love how friendly the staff are, and so helpful!
My server and I had a little chat about the free app cards she had by the till today, despite the fact that there were a couple of people behind me. I have to say that the art of customer service and connecting with the individual is not lost here. Way to go Courtney!

If you are in a hurry and don’t have much time, this isn’t the Starbucks to go too. Always a long wait, not enough staff and they always seem to run out of things. You would think since this Starbucks is in the mall, it would be bigger? No where to sit and not enough room to even stand when ordering. Hope they get a larger location, it’s busy enough that it’s needed.

This Starbucks, closing time as it was or not was a disgrace and I am mainly talking about the washroom and how the employees could seemingly care less that it was literally a crap-​hole.
Staff were standing around doing nothing, chatting loudly about whatever was more important than doing their basic duties.
The washroom reeked, I will not tell you like what… imagine it!
No toilet paper
Gross black hair in sink
Cups and paper towels all over the washroom floor
Water everywhere
I was so disgusted that I forewent my $ 6 coffee and went elsewhere.
Time for an overhaul, Starbucks, you can do better than this.

Horrible customer service has lead to this low rating. I went there before a hockey game to get a Chai tea latte and ended up being late for hockey. I ordered about 4 minutes after getting there but waited 15 minutes for my drink. There were 4 staff working on the Sunday afternoon but only one person making drinks. I counted 14 customers waiting like me for their drinks with many looking upset. The other 3 workers were playing with a mop, sitting on a box yawning, and making drinks for themselves. After 10 minutes I finally went over to them and asked them to explain why there was such a long wait while they did nothing to help. The one guy working then asked what drink I was waiting for. Obviously it didn’t matter as I was not the only one waiting. I told him that everyone was waiting for a drink at which point he half assed started moping the supply closet. Needless to say this location will not be supported by me in the future and if I see similar laziness and disregard for customers at other Starbucks I will simply avoid the company all together. Oh, and the real kicker was once I got my drink it was warm at best.

This has got to be one of the worst Starbucks in the city. When I shop at Market Mall, which is often, I tend to park underground and come through this entrance. For some reason I keep returning even though I’ve been pissed off EVERY time I order from here. The last straw was a couple months ago with my sister, we decided to grab a couple coffees before our afternoon of shopping. We stood there for about 10 minutes waiting for our drinks, and they simply did not make them. I don’t know what they were doing, but nobody was getting their order and finally, my sister got hers… then people behind me got theirs! Fine, things get forgotten, not a big deal. I politely asked if my drink was getting made, and the snotty barista told me to «hold on and wait my turn». At this point I was about to lose it, and evidently so was my sister because she snapped right back at her and told her NO, make the damn drink (she’s a former Starbucks employee, so she’s allowed! Haha). I’ve never seen a more half-​assed attempt at making a Frappuccino, like running a blender takes sooo much work. She was obviously mad that we flipped on her, but her attitude was outrageous. Now that they have a new location in Market Mall, I’ll be going there for my coffee unless I feel like standing around with 40 other people, waiting 25 minutes for my order. Horrible.

I really wasn’t that impressed with this Starbucks. They have very little to no space to stand when you are in line and when it’s busy you feel like a sardine. I made my order the same as I do at every Starbucks and somehow this one interpreted it as six shots of flavoring. I have lactaid in mine because milk makes me sick and the girl had to dump the drink out twice. To be honest I’m ok when they make mistakes as long as it works out. I see the drink before it goes into the blender and it’s 90% liquid with a tiny bit of ice. She obviously overdid the portions. I can’t say anything because there are five other people waiting for a drink and the room for two people to wait for it. Then a guy comes out with free samples and I can’t get anywhere near the counter. My drink comes up and it has mounds of whip cream on it. She looks at me and says «oppss the whole lactose thing right, I can make it again.» There is nowhere to sit and wait for another one so I take my luke warm frappacino and tell her not to worry about it.
They do have a nice staff and the willingness to take all day to make you a good drink. It just depends on how long you have.

This Starbucks is located right inside the Market Mall. There isn’t really a seating area at this starbucks, but there is some seating beside the starbucks in the mall. This location is more of a order and go, it can get pretty crowded inside because there isn’t much room. And waiting for your order can get crowdy too because everyone is just standing around waiting.
I’d rather go to a less busy starbucks that isn’t in the mall.
Two stars because the treats are pretty good. Cranberry bliss bar and the gingerbread loaf are in this month!

This is more of a take out Starbucks than a sit and chat Starbucks. Located just above the entrance to the heated underground parking, it ideal for «Starbucks Moms» to get their java on before hitting the shops. It is a bit cramped in the store itself but there are some couches that are just outside the store forming a sort of indoor patio. The wifi is free and reaches to the couches which fulfills my three greatest requirements of a coffee shop. A comfy seat, a strong brew, and wifi.

Got my coffee at Starbucks in Market Mall. It’s always busy in here and always there’s a line-​up. I don’t really like this location as there is no rrom for tables/​chairs for you to sit and chat. You have to take your coffee with you to the resting area just outside of Starbucks or walk over to the food court. I prefer to have a table so I can put my coffee cup on the table and be comfortable while sipping on my coffee.
When I was lining up, the back door was open as a huge shipment had just come in and the lady was bringing all their boxes into the store. So she kept the door open all the time in –16oC weather! Brrrr!!!

One of the poorer Starbucks around. It’s always very busy, with staff that are trying hard but simply cannot keep up. I’ve experienced better service — and a better latte — at the Starbucks in the nearby Safeway (also in Market Mall, and the Starbucks is right at the mall entrance to the Safeway).
