Business Owner

Usually being a creative accountant can get you into trouble but in my case I have been able to leverage a professional accounting designation into a career that allows me to work with organizations and help them with their business processes. I tell people that I switched from Engineering in University to Commerce because I liked debits and credits. Sounds kind of geeky but I realized back then that accounting provided me with a business language to understand what was actually going on in a company and that was what interested me. From there I was able to get involved with operations as well as finance. I get to work with a wide variety of organizations and people and life is never dull. And being involved with five children also added more than a little excitement.
