Loved it. Modern and casual. Cosy inside. We sat on the 2nd floor. Good service. All this was top notch: –bruschetta –Filet Mignon carpaccio –Meatloaf –Cod Not in the«cheap eats» category, but cheaper and every bit as good as the spendier places in town(e.g., Kok au Vin, Spinola, Dijver, etc.)

Fantastic! If you can’t get a reservation, the trick we tried was to go well after 9pm. We got right in with a table. The service was very friendly and helpful. Beer selection was a little less than other restaurants in Bruges, but still delicious. I had what can only be described as the most rich and decadent meatloaf I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, full of many locals and some tourists. Highly recommend.

Nice folk, nice hearty food(quesadillas and pasta dishes — plenty of food) and a great local beer on tap. Service wasn’t fast, but this is Bruges/Brugge so slow down a bit.

Went here w/the hubs after reading about this place in several guidebooks. Was expecting a bit of a tourist trap. What we found was a very chic and cozy place seemingly frequented by locals. The restaurant is far enough away from the tourist zone to deter most tourists. Great! Let the sheep eat horrible mussels and frites on the square and leave this place to those willing to walk 10 minutes. Pros: — walking distance from most hotels — quality food — well prepared, tasty, well presented, decent portions — lovely setting — intimate, cozy restaurant w/a chic but homey vibe — nice variety of updated Belgian comfort food on the menu — very good prices on beer — nice little starter of olives and breadsticks w/hummus-y stuff — kind, attentive service Cons(not really cons but things that might annoy some people): — couldn’t tell if bread came w/the meal… some people were getting it, others weren’t, but we didn’t bother to ask for any either way — phony lambic kriek on the menu… belle vue… not a true lambic but still tasty! — Very hard to get a table after 7PM unless you have a reservation Overall, we really enjoyed our dinner at Tom’s. We tried to come back for a second night, but alas, no reservations meant no table. I would highly recommend this restaurant to those visiting Brugge willing to venture outside the tourist zone.

Wonderful place off the beaten path. Was recommended by our hotel. We had the meatloaf and the chicken enchiladas cheeseburgers for the kids. Warm and friendly atmosphere.

What a great find! Off the beaten path, but still in the city center, this cozy restaurant was wonderful. We arrived quite late, but the kitchen was still open, and there were quite a few people at the small bar. Restaurant ambience was cozy and romantic. Candles on every table, exposed rafters on the ceiling, very charming! Hubby had what was basically a deconstructed lasagna, and I had broiled cod with cheese and veggie mash. Both of us were really happy with our meals, and were happy to find this place! Realized afterward that it was listed in our guide books as a must-stop place to eat.

We were wandering around in the dark, in the rain when this cozy place emerged, glowing with a welcome light and warmth. Adorable inside and perfectly cooked Irish rib-eye folloed by ridiculously yummy damme blanche made this on of our favorite spots.

Ate here as part of Rick Steve’s tour. I had the beef stew which tasted like it had a wine reduction sauce. Great service also!

I had the Steak with French Fries, and a Dame Blanche as dessert. Very tasteful. Friendly service. A nice and cosy place in the center of Bruges.
