A typical pub, I came here on a Thursday to try out their $ 10 parma night. I got the parma that had pumpkin, feta cheese and pine nuts, and it was delicious. Comes with a side salad and fries, what more could you ask for? Drinks were cheap, a pot of beer on tap was about $ 4-something. The atmosphere isn’t much to talk about, but I got a good country vibe, small town feel from the place. I’d come back for their Thursday parma night.

I’ve reviewed here before and give 3 spectacular stars. I was wrong. Sorry. They have just renovated. For the past 7 months a major part of the pub has been«under construction». I have no idea what they have done other than add a room with half a roof. So disappointed as these guys could have created the coolest bar EVER!!! * note to owners —/LIFT YOU’RE game. Please, the area needs it.

This old skool pub is just that, an old skool pub. The Irish is pretty light on, but the front bar has cheap meals and the back bar meals are hearty and plentiful. If you want a warm filling meal, comfort and can bear the TV’s blaring the races go for the front bat for cheap. If you can’t bear the TV’s and the races on them go for the back bar, but it’s a bit more expensive, not unreasonable just not ‘Haute Cuisine’.

I was expecting more from this Yarraville local. Went on a Friday night and the place was reasonable full. First impressions was that it was not a particularly classy establishment, though they did have a decent selection of draught and bottled beers. Beers varied in price, seemed reasonable overall but not cheap. The pub is split into two fairly spacious areas. Bar staff were fairly efficient but not overly friendly. It’s supposed to be an Irish pub but to me there was nothing about it that made it any different to the thousands of other pubs in Australia. They did have Guinness on tap but no Kilkenny(the addition of which would give it another half-star in my book!). I probably won’t make a habit of visiting this particular pub in the future.
