2 stars is an accurate rating for this place. Treat it like a pub with odd seating instead of a restaurant because restaurant quality it is not. I went to the James squire hotel specifically to get a parma. They range from $ 23 to $ 27 which is already on the pricey side. They all have different sauces such as Napoli, Tomato Sauce, Tomato Relish etc but be warned! They are all the same sauce! coincidentally my table all got different meals with different tomato based sauces but they were all the absolute same. I might not have the culinary palate of a food critic but i know there is a difference between Tomato relish and Napoli sauce! Outside of the high price and the lazy saucing the parmas were actually pretty good(if not small). I would advise go on a tuesday when they are $ 15 and you will enjoy your time there a lot more. The fact that it was crazy empty made it a little worse but that is a docklands thing.

Very disappointed. I had a voucher to use at this business that was not honoured. I don’t know what sort of company issues vouchers and then refuses to accept them, but this is one.

I originally went here several years ago when it first opened. The shine has certainly worn off now and its looking a bit tired already. Our table looked like it had been used to drag a gravel road. The house beers are good as always but that’s to be expected, they aren’t actually made on site. Its nice to sit out front when its not busy and look out over the water while sipping an IPA. I would recommend the second floor if its open, nice comfy chairs and views. When its busy the service is kind of poor. A lot of staff running around but very poorly organised. The hostess sat us at our table and then went off to get menus but never came back. We went to get our own menus and some nice bloke helped us by collection some from another table… because they don’t have enough menus?! Really bad acoustics. Had trouble hearing the person next to me, not the kind of place to sit down as a couple and chat. The food is pretty good when it arrived. Reasonable menu and good quality for the money. Not sure I would go back again during peak dinner hour.

Great food and beer! Nice selection of beers on tap as well as a complete pub style menu. Prices are a little steep and I wouldn’t recommend sitting outside as the wind is almost always unbearable in docklands
