Learning to surf is something many Aussies have always wanted to do. However, one doesn’t have to be a brain surgeon to know that going to the right place is paramount to being safe in the ocean and learning the right techniques. Learn to Surf located on Trigg beach is the place to go! I was required to learn surfing as part of my year 10 outdoor education class, and I distinctly remember coming down here to go through the safety briefing before hitting the beach. They showed us how to get on the board, how to paddle out, and how to eventually stand up and hopefully catch a wave. All these skills are still with me and I’ll shamelessly admit that I still surf pretty well. With a variety of programs available and with the summer months now upon us, there’s no better time to learn how to catch a wave or two. I personally can’t think of better bragging rights than, «hey Johno, did you see me catch that ripper down at City Beach this arvo? Bet you can’t do that!». And without the help of Learn to Surf, he probably can’t.
