A random choice due to a delayed return from business trip landed us here. The waitress must have been new and struggled to keep up the pace, but she was extraordinarily nice. Food was brilliant. Seafood stew was full flavoured with the slices of bread toasted just right, although definitely can have a bit more seafood in the dish. Meatball spaghetti was also cooked just right. It’s a gem & can be one of the best choices of restaurants at Top Ryde Shopping Centre.

We were on a voucher for lunch. The restaurant is on a corner(as the name suggests) and is a very pleasant location especially if you like to watch the passersby. The service was good. The voucher meal started with a garlic crust pizza. It was OK; a bit like a big sao. The pasta and salad came out together. The salad was a bit of a disappointment as the tomatoes were not ripe enough. The chicken risotto was nice but the Italian sausage and fennel was the pick. I paid extra for a macchiato and that was good. My dessert eating friend wanted to try the Crepes Suzette and was disappointed as it was really thin pancakes with an orange sauce… not surprising really.

BOMBAFSPAGANDMEATBAALLSS! I didn’t expect it to taste that amazeballs but god damn, it was gooood. Also ordered two pizzas, don’t remember the names as it was written in Italian and its too complicated for me to memorize different languages, but most importantly,… the melted cheese on the pizza was so stringy(which is like the best and what im looking for) Homemade lemonade was also spot on, and. OHMYLORDDD the flippin’ waffles were like on point. MUSTHAVE the waffles! I tried the Oreo waffles with scoops of icecream and also the Mars waffle *omg* *drool* Btw, just a note. Online booking is apparently down on the site, but luckily for us, the waiters were able to find us a spot :)

My favourite pizzeria and my favourite spot for coffee and cake. Staff are always friendly and you feel like you’ve been to a family member’s home. They’ve always got interesting specials, the venue has a nice vibe especially when it’s busy in summer but cosy in the colder months too. One of my go-to places I visit time and again.

I love alfreco dining on a beautiful sunny day. Top Ryde provides the perfect setting for this away from the car fume infested devlin st and black and road. There are quite a few restaurants here but the lucky choice for today was Bar Angolo. FOOD If you were to ask me what the 3 basic ingredients to pizza were I’d say dough, tomato sauce and cheese. I was a bit confused then when there was a section of the menu dedicated to non tomato based pizza’s. I enquired about this to find out these were white sauce based pizza’s. Makes sense seeing as you get the same deal with pastas. Opted for the Pollo pizza($ 21 — white sauce pesto base) and Crab penne($ 26). Pizza trumped the Pasta but I still felt the chicken was a little too dry but the pesto sauce made up for this to give it good flavour OVERALL The alfresco setting creates a great atmosphere for relaxed dining. Good way to waste away an afternoon. Oh and recycling( ) I like it!
