I only stopped by Soul Origin for lunch. I’ve also read the other reviews saying that this is a coffee place. This is much more than a coffee place! You can choose 3 choices for lunch and a dressing. There’s quite a selection. I had the chicken penne pasta, chicken schnitzel salad and soul origin beef with lemon olive oil dressing. The pasta was a little chewy and schnitzel was a bit hard, however overall very nice. Also quite filling for $ 9.50(regular). If I stop by again, I’ll probably try the coffee.

The coffee here is unfailingly awesome. Now that’s gotta mean it’s good right?! Especially coming from someone that needs a constant source of caffeine to keep those 445am starts a reality. As soon as you tap that Opal card of yours off when passing through Exit 3 of Town Hall station, the smell of coffee being prepared at Soul Origin Town Hall is like nothing else. There’s always a delectable selection of sweet treats, breakfast foods, sandwiches and salads to keep you wanting to come back for more. Yes it’s moderately priced, but you’re in the middle of Sydney after all.

I like the coffee here, and on the rare occaison that a) I didn’t have my turkish coffee in the morning at home and b) I didn’t get a replacement latte in Marrickville, I’ll stop here… The other reason to stop here is that they have a giant cup option. It’s $ 4.80 for a very tall cup of endless coffee. Hehe. When you know its going to be a long day, sometimes you NEED it! I’ve had coffee at Black Sheep before on a recommendation and I didn’t find it particularly notable, fwiw. Also, these guys are FAST! Nothing worse than waiting 10 minutes for a cup of coffee in the morning… its like, do you realize I have somewhere to be? If you’re slow, I’ll NEVER come back. These guys are always FAST. Love it.

So this place has just opened up down near Town Hall train station, on the other side of the QVB entrance. This is a gourmet sandwich and salad place. I honestly wasn’t expecting that much. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was good. Not the best in this area. Three sheep is better, but it is still good coffee. The salads were nice. I didn’t try the sandwiches. However, this place is a bit more expensive than normal.
