So this place was suggested by Andrew O, he called this place the ‘real deal’, and he is right. So recently in Sydney there has been many cafes opening up that focus solely on the coffee — and Central Roasters is one of these places. Down Central St, in between Pitt and George, is this small café. They serve Black Gold coffee beans, and they know how to brew a good cup of coffee. Honestly, they are not as good as Alpha or Blue Bird, but still a very good cup of coffee. As I stated, this place is about the coffee, and so the food is limited. So if you want a café that focuses on the food, this place is not for you. If you want a place that focuses on the coffee then come right along.

Dont tell anyone but Milazzo has been sold and the guys are moving on. Sad. But I have found a new place that will do very nicely. And its in a laneway ! I could be in Melbourne, almost. The coffee is very good and I really like the space. If I was ever arrested and put in the Central lock up, and then I escaped, then this would be the first place I saw as I was running down Central Lane!!! It doesnt look like they do a whole lot of food, there are a few pastries but it seems to me the entire focus is on coffee. There are a couple of filter machines, single origin on a blackboard, and all the magazines are coffee mags. The sugar is that funky stuff that you also find at Paramount. A take away(I know) is only $ 3. A proper cap and a seat costs another 50c. I need to know there is a good café close by and now I have one.
