I really love this store… whenever I’m at the airport I always drop in here… it gets me really excited about traveling. Now there’s not just a whole bunch of Lonely Planet books to buy — but of course they’re there($ 15 — $ 60) but it’s the other bits and pieces which I really like. The Lonely Planet store has heaps of other cool travel companions including magnetic games, electronic gear, hiking equipment and fun things for the plane. It’s kind of like a treasure chest for travelers, with lots of über cool accessories and great informative books. Whether you’re looking for a easy translator French Guide Book or a pocket size game of draughts — you’re guaranteed to find something handy, fun and helpful in this delightful store. Definitely worthy of airport browsing.

While your trying to figure out what to do while you’re waiting at the airport, why not spend some time in Lonely Planet. In a world first, Lonely Planet has opened a concept store at Sydney International Airport. Unfortunately only people travelling will be able to have access because it’s past customs. Be prepared to engage, connect, listen, guide, escape and be inspired This unique store has many interactive technologies and offers customers the ability to live their travel dreams. I went in and besides a phrase book, picked up a gift for a friends child overseas.
