The last time I was here, so was every man and his dog! I had to sit on the floor! Today it is different, not busy and much like any average lounge. The food is ok, the range of drinks both alcoholic and non are good. Breakfast time means croissant, toast, baked beans, scrambled eggs, bacon and fruit. Definitely better than any of the American Airline lounges that I have been to and of course no where near the Qantas First Lounge in Sydney.

Feel like a coffee? The barista will make it for u. Feel like a fresh juice? Go to the juice maker, choose the ingredients you like and make it yourself. Feel like a wine or bubbles? Go to one of the self service points and pour yourself a glass. Feel like something stronger, let’s say a spirit? Go to one of the 2 self service sections located on each food sections and pour yourself one. They have pourers so you can keep track of your drinks… Or pour yourself a few shots with /in your drink, no one is watching! Feeling a bit soft? There’s lots of teas and a couple of juices to choose from too This Qantas Lounge is long and has 2 main food stations with toast, pastries, hot mains, fruit, musli on offer for breakfast. There is also an extensive drinks section as mentioned above. There are a few different seating options to choose from to match your relaxing style; there are chairs you can slouch in, couches, business type chairs and stools. The view is grand. You can see the Centre Point tower and the city skyline. There is also a ‘business section’ to the right with Macs and a printer set up if you need to work. Younger kids are catered for to the right when you walk in. They can watch Nickelodeon, so the sign says… I didn’t venture down there. I’m loving the power points around the place too so you can charge up before your next flight. I’m happy to be here for this stop over :) ***********EDITED! So we went downstairs to do some Duty free shopping and I hear our names over the PA. We try to find a service desk… We try to go to the gate… Nope, both are a no go so we go back upstairs to the Qantas Lounge we have spent nearly 5 hours at earlier in the morning, the lady behind the counter asked a couple of people if they paged us they say no. We ask if she can find out why we were paged and she tells us to go to a service desk without helping us. We go back downstairs and I see a woman wearing a Qantas tag walking, I stop her and ask her help and thankfully she helps us out and is very polite. How rude Qantas Business Lounge staff, you weren’t even willing to make one phone call to help us and your company pages us.

Probably a 3.5 in my head, but I’ll give them a 4… After reading some of the reviews below, I have to say that I was lucky I didn’t go during peak hour! It was noontime on a Friday, and the place was pretty quiet. Sadly there wasn’t much of a food selection, I was expecting more since the domestic Qantas Club lounge has an array of nibbles and a toastie making station. But oh, well. I enjoyed the much quieter, relaxing ambience immensely, though, and it was a great place to relax before my 8 hour flight.

Below expectations. Visited the lounge during the breakfast buffet(aka rush hour) and it was packed!!! There were people literally everywhere and I was lucky enough to find one of the last seats(at a table with a stranger). Others had to stand around and wait for a seat, with guests pushing between every second to get to the food. The food was average — but there were so many people crowding around the food stations. As soon as a new platter came out, people would leap to it and fight over the food and it would be all gone in less than a few minutes. There is a Vittoria cofee station but once again, you have to line up and wait for your coffee to be called out. This is not what I expect from a business class lounge. It is decorated nice enough but definitely not exclusive, inviting or relaxing. The overcrowding and pushy people turned the lounge into a cheap free for all. Really disappointing.

I got an one-off invitation to the Qantas International Business Lounge and thought that I might subscribe the Qantas club if the lounge is excellent. But now I give it up. The best thing is to me is that they have lots of nice and comfortable chairs and tables with electrical powers everywhere. The food options are very limited. They have a buffet section but you won’t have to take time choosing food since they offer salads and just one main dish and one type of soup. So just eat it or don’t eat any main dish. There is a wine bar that has more than one type of wine/beer. So someone may find it as a bonus but I am not one of those since I rarely drink. And also I cannot comment on the quality, then. Ah, a goof thing is the Internet access here is free and has excellent quality. If you are going to pay for the membership, you should try it first, then decide.

I like this lounge. There’s no Qantas Club-only lounge in the international terminal, so you get to use Business. It’s less busy than the domestic Qantas lounges, and a bit more upscale. The long, narrow layout doesn’t make it feel as big or as crowded. The two food and drink areas and at either end, distributing patrons better. There are a range of sitting areas, and a family area at one end. There’s always lots of wine and bubbly and snacks on the long tables by the window, so if those are all you’re after you don’t need to go to the food areas. Classy.

Nice lounge, but I am comparing to the united lounges which are awful. The food was tasty with the ability to make your own pressed sandwich and they had a tasty curry. Their is a wide selection of drinks including little creatures beer and a good selection of wine. There are plenty of TVs and places to plug in devices. Chair are comfortable and a good place to get away from the crowds. The staff is friendly, but sometimes to eager to clear your drinks and plates.

Very busy all the usual faculties coffee food drink and so on. Not the best lounge but not the worst. Virgin Heathrow is still the best lounge in the world. Im on my way to America so I will soon experience the worst airline service in the world.

Wow this is the second business lounge(2 different countries I might add) that the staff have been rude! Food cold, bread stale, coffee dish water. Not like any other business lounge I have ever been in! I can see why Qantas have a failing international service. They treat customers like nothing and expect return of service. Well last time I use them to go anywhere. Never again.

Qantas knows how to cater to families on long haul flights. Their business lounge has a family section loaded with games, a tv showing kids’ programs and a couple of desktop Macs for playing games and browsing. Their bathrooms are large and there’s a changing facility for those with infants and toddlers. The food is ok, not the best, but everything served is fresh and clean. The staff members are helpful and the view of planes coming and going is strangely comforting from our vantage point. Last time we stopped here, we got to meet the Blues and took some photos with some of the players and a coach. Baby wasn’t as impressed as Dad, but it did make for some interesting laughs.
