Part market, part music festival, part meeting place Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is a place where you can have one of Sydney’s most unique shopping experiences and a fabulous day out.

Passionate, colourful and seriously cool stallholders from all over NSW and interstate sell quality, rock ‘n’ roll, alternative and vintage clothing, jewellery, accessories, make-​up, music, including vinyl records, rock posters, cult DVDs, tikis, tattoo art, books, comics, art, homewares, collectables and more. There is something for everybody at this market with a huge array of unique goods on offer.

Over three levels and across two huge courtyards it’s a Monster of an event too including Café, Bars, International Food, Tiki Bar Courtyard, Vintage Vehicle Displays, a Kids Activity Area, and a Massive Band Line-​up appearing on the top floor Manning Bar stage with DJs both on the top floor and in the Tiki Bar Courtyard.

The market is held 6 times per year on selected dates.

History

Established in 2010.

Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market never set out to be your average market. From its humble beginnings at Tempe, where it provided a much-​loved meet for lovers of all things rock ‘n’ roll related, it’s exploded into the most popular alternative market in Sydney after moving to its bigger, brighter new home in Manning House, in the picturesque grounds of the University of Sydney.
