I am very hard to please when it comes to pizza and have spent the last few years trying to find my favourite pizza joint in Perth. I need look no further. The Pizza Lounge ticks all the boxes for me — wood fired, crispy base with a doughy centre and simple yet delicious toppings. I am a bit of a chilli fiend so my favourite is the Inferno(with extra chilli) but I can vouch for the Meat Lovers, the Sleepy Jackson and the Calzone all as being excellent choices. I usually have my pizza to take away but there is seating inside and outside the restaurant. There isn’t a huge amount of ambience inside but the smell of wood fire makes up for it. All in all, definitely my go to pizza in Perth with Dough coming in a close second.

Ordered a white pizza and a veggie #1 Easily the best pizza I’ve had. As with all the positive reviews on here, fresh high quality ingredients done well. I’ve only knocked a star off because it is a little more expensive than others, but given the location and quality it should only be half a star off. I can easily imagine walking here on a nice evening and enjoying a beer and pizza before walking home. The beer is very reasonably priced.

I love that this place is always buzzing in the evenings, even on a quiet Sunday night when the area is pretty barren. The Swanbourne strip of shops and cafes always seems to be more of an early morning/lunchtime place for the locals. So it is refreshing to see families and friends sitting out the front of The Pizza Lounge, lining up for takeaways or sitting inside the narrow pizzeria on a Sunday evening. The menu is extensive and most pizze have plenty of toppings — no stinginess here. I had the Tina pizza: margherita base with mushroom, prosciutto and rocket topping. Delicious! The dough was bubbled and browned quite nicely by the woodfire oven, which gave it a fragrant wooded aroma. The base had a slight crispy outside with a granular dusting which also gave it a nice texture. The dough was evenly cooked and was neither gummy nor tough. Really nice dough. The tomato base was simple without overdoing the garlic which was certainly well received. An even spreading of mozzarella cheese, generous amounts of sliced mushrooms and topped post-oven with fresh slices of prosciutto and an even garden of rocket leaves. Divine and served piping hot and already sliced. The turnaround is quick(10 minutes when semi busy, 15 minutes when very busy). The large pizze start at $ 20 which is probably slightly above average for Perth prices. However, they are quite generous, the dough is fresh as are the toppings. You won’t go hungry and there is a nice casual friendly atmosphere should you choose to dine in even on the quietest nights.

Being just around the corner from where we are staying at the moment, we knew there would come a day when we would be too lazy to cook and walking down the hill to order a pizza would be just the thing to do. That day came and we entered a small but quaint little place where the first thing you see is the wood fired pizza oven — okay, you’ve got my attention Pizza Lounge! The menu is long and diverse(and creative to say the least) and choosing took us a few minutes but we settled on the Lambuel L. Jackson(I said creative didn’t I?!) and the Thai chicken. Both were quite good, well cooked(thank you pizza oven, you’re the best!) though slightly under seasoned but again Australian and salt don’t seem to go well together — or maybe I should check my sodium level as I don’t seem to be getting anywhere near my fix around here! The service was very friendly and the guy at the counter was more than patient with us taking our time deciding and asking lots of pizza-related questions :-D Anyway, yes it is overpriced — nearly 60 $ for two pizzas(we won’t be lazy cooking too often that’s for sure!) but it’s fresh and it’s good to indulge once in a while.

At $ 17 for a 10-inch, and $ 20 for a 13-inch you would expect the pizza to be pretty bloody amazing, however the Bacon and Mushroom pizza that my family ordered would not be described as mind blowing. I, for one, would not order a pizza with the word mushroom in the title, but seeing as this had place had fantastic reviews I thought that any pizza must be pretty good. When we were ready to start eating I noticed that the pizza was 9 parts mushrooms to 1 part bacon. So once I picked off all the mushrooms I was left with a pretty bland pizza. Also, the garlic bread that we ordered aswell($ 6.50) was burnt and rock hard. Another tip, don’t plan on eating in, there is very little space and about three tables in the whole joint — this place is definitely take away only. Finally, the only plus side was unlike most of the reviews said the pizza was ready in 15 mins flat. So if your hungry, Hurrah!

A stunning array of pizzas on selection here, with something to please everyone. The Lambuel L Jaxson was a firecracker, with just the right amount of lamb and chilli to provide a balanced combination. The wood fired olives were nice with a slightly«melted» texture, although at $ 9.50 they are a little overpriced. Inside can be quite warm, so sit outside if possible, and enjoy one of the better pizzas in Perth Food 8⁄10 service 7⁄10 décor 7⁄10

A great pizza option! Highly recommend it. I was in the restaurant at 630 ish on a Monday. Perrrrrrfect. Not too busy. I reckon these fellas whipped up 20 pizzas in the half hour I was there. No strenuous delay for the damn good pizza. $ 25. enough for two. I rate it. Bring a date? Why not?

Given how busy The Pizza Lounge is basically every day of the week, I’d be expecting the world’s best pizza. Unfortunately they’re not. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them — I actually adore the chicken calzone — but the price is just not worth having it very often. I have no real complaints — the ingredients are fresh, the staff generally know what’s up(there have been a couple of occasions where we’ve arrived 10 minutes late for our pizza and still had to wait another 10), the place itself is really nice but I just don’t feel that it’s worth all the hype.

The freshest pizza in the western suburbs… by far! The long queues and lengthy phone orders are a testament to the quality of these pizzas! They are not cheap at $ 23 a pizza but for the sake of preventing a leftover taste in your mouth, its worth it. On a Sunday evening, you may have to predict your hunger and order an hour ahead as the wait is usually 45 minutes. The ingredients are fresh and the choices of pizza are much more appealing than others in the area. They also have pastas and salads of high quality.
