Bower

This cute little home wares and jewellery store lured me in with their chic window display when I was visiting Daily Espresso next door.
The store stocks higher-​end brands with little priced under $ 50. A great place to get a girlfriend or mum a gift for Christmas or a birthday. Lots of candles, defusers, necklaces, a sprinkling of kids toys, and other homewares bits and pieces.

I love this store; it’s so serene and pretty. It has the feeling of a beachside cottage, with piles of driftwood scattered around, and tree branches adorned with hanging ornaments. Every surface is strewn with elegant handmade homewares, accessories, jewellery and gifts, and they’re arranged in such a way that they seem at once products and part of the store’s décor. Everything in here is tasteful and chic; it would be a good place to buy a present for your mum or other female relative. I speak from experience — I found a lovely woven tote bag that made a delightful mummy christmas gift. There is also a great selection of greetings cards. When it comes to cards, I’m a bit of a snob — I hate the tacky, shiny ones you find in most greetings cards shops. Which is why it’s a joy to look through Bower’s gorgeous collection of cards — they have loads, and they are all beautiful. When it comes to pretty, elegant gifts and homewares, Bower is top notch.
