Ahhhh Starbucks how I love you, and the coffee you bring me! Starbucks at Surfers Paradise(at the beach-end of Cavill Ave), has all of your caffeine fixings covered. As previously mentioned in another review, the food and bevs here are outrageously overpriced, but boy are they worth it! They staff at this particular outlet practically bend over backwards to get you what you want in no less than a flash. The seating area is vast, but the waiting area for drink and food collection is a tad cramped(if the dude next to me got any closer he would’ve been in my pocket). A smile, a smattering of banter with the cashier, and a massive coffee to pump you up for the day is exactly what you’ll get here!

Upon seeing the Gold Coast had a Starbucks it was great to see it was open at 7am on Saturday 27 June, 2015, however as I approached the store at 7.08 it was closed. I asked staff inside and they opened the door and let me in. Well I was blasted with the loudest music with words in the song«Mother Fu**** etc, I asked if this is the norm and staff said no that is our prep music. Then I was amazed more non Starbucks music was put on and was told the CD player has been broken 3 ‘yrs so staff select the music. 7.18 and a staff member goes and gets the papers. What are they running here? Sorry I am a customer it appears I was a choir. This places is damaging the brand and staff need to wake up.

For what it’s worth, this place makes a drink that you will be happy with. The staff are a little slack at cleaning the floors and tables, but other than that the service is good. It is however, the floor, tables and surrounds that makes a place more appreciable though. A great little stop on a hot summers day close to Caville and they make a mean Green Tea Latte Frappé.

Although this Starbucks is right in the heart of Surfer’s it never seems to be TOOBUSY where you can’t get a seat — which I think is great. They do have wifi — that is free to use **with the purchase of a beverage — you can ask for a code to get on for 30 minutes. Definitely not what I’m used to in the states, but I guess it’s better than nothing. Heaps of cute mugs & travel cups if you’re in need. Even touristy ones that say Australia if you need a gift for a Starbuck’s addict back home. No iced coffee — but you can always do an iced Americano if you’re jonesin’ ;)
