Not too busy, but not bad for a gay bar in a horrific location. Face it, surfers is ugly.
Friendly people, friendly drag queens, plenty of beers on tap, reasonably priced.
Pool tables, outdoor deck, corners to hide in.
Cover charge is a little steep — $ 20 — considering its really not that busy. However I suppose they have the monopoly in the area for the clientele type so they can charge whatever.
Walking through cavill ave to find a taxi on the way home is a nasty sight, you have been warned…

We were excited to experience this bar as it has rooftop oceanfront views, a cluster of large patio areas, and pretty good fliers promoting special events. Meh is right. This is literally the first gay bar I’ve ever visited that I felt unwelcome as a non-​resident (locals are always happy to see fresh meat). The drinks are OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive for what you get. eg our first drink: Absolute Citron and tonic. The use little ½ shot measures for tourists (or at lease us — we were the only non residents as far as we could tell) so we had to order a double to achieve a still-​weak drink. Price: $ 25 each per drink. Don’t get me wrong — I’m happy to go to a high end martini bar in New York and over pay in exchange for atmosphere and pretension. In this case, I felt ripped off. Oh, and the locals were able to pay $ 15 for unlimited beverages. AND they charged us a $ 10 cover, but I watched others walk right in. Bogus!
