I stayed at the Diamant Hotel for work and I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. First off, the staff is amazing here and are super duper welcoming. Very helpful with any request and always had a smile on their faces. The hotel itself is quite boutique and modern. The rooms aren’t very big, but the bed was extremely comfortable. Large flat panel TV and a decent sized bathroom. The rooms are small I never felt claustrophobic during my stay. I’m not sure how long term stay would work, but for anything short it’s perfectly fine. O-Bar which is connected to the hotel has an equally great staff and surprisingly great food. Breakfast was great with plenty of options and quite the variety. Dinner was delicious as I went with the lamb and haloumi. Large portions as well. Definitely recommend the Diamant Hotel if you’re staying for a week or less… anything longer may be pushing it. Also the price is definitely within reason.

As quite the avid collector, I’m a complete sucker for the entire collection of 8 Hotels. It just makes me want to punch the dance card of each and every one of them. Don’t judge. I get around. Small but perfectly formed, the(affordable) rooms in these hotels just tick all my boxes and their Brisbane location is no different. Thoughtful touches like fantastic bath products, great magazines, comfortable bedding, powerful showers and tea pots with ample selection tick the thoughtful box. Classy, dark and luxurious décor ticks the stylish box. Prices of $ 169/night(for the aforementioned small but perfectly formed rooms) tick the affordable box. I love the leafy location of this venue as it’s a nice strolling distance from both the CBD and the Valley, depending on what brings you to Brisbane… or what time you’re coming home. I also greatly enjoy the downstairs restaurant/bar/coffee shop — screaming fast internet, Toby’s coffee *and* power points? Yes please. I’ll sleep with an 8 Hotel any day.
