Cheap and cheerful. And you get what you pay for is all I can say really. Went for $ 12.50 Parma night on Monday and was not impressed. Got the Hawaiian Parma which was supposed to be Napoli, ham, cheese and pineapple. There was no ham on it at all(isn’t that one of the main components of a Parma?!) and the Napoli sauce was barely there as well. Chicken very dry and the ‘crumb’ tasted like flour. Service was pretty quick. Cakes looked good but they would’ve been bought in from somewhere else. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

Sunday midday and I should have known that a brunch place which wasn’t busy was a sign. Alas, I had a two for one voucher to use so in we went. We were seated quickly and put in our order within a few minutes. Then what was a very long wait ensued for our food. It took only 5 minutes to get our drinks and with the anticipation of a Bloody Mary on the way I figured that would hold me over. The drink was plain, no flavour, nothing special about it. I kind of forced myself to finish it because I was so hungry! Close to 20 minutes of waiting and finally our meals came. We both ordered the eggs benny, one with ham and one with salmon. Sadly my meal was not piping hot, as if it was waiting before it got to our table. The dish itself was good but not great. Again, lacking any originality, aside from the smoked salmon. The eggs were poached well and it presented itself well but it was not a stand out meal. Sadly my brunch partner felt the same and we were both happy to have the voucher as the entire experience wasn’t worth full price. My advice: Waiting in a queue for a great brunch place and paying full price beats waiting for your meal at half price. Sometimes you get what you pay for.

Had breakfast here this morn.(Sure wish our pooch CJ was with us, as this neighborhood is flooded with«dog people»!) We sat outside, so I can’t describe Boheme’s interior. That said, looking through the large glass windows, this corner restaurant looks well-appointed and relatively traditional in its design. We each started our meal with a cup o’ black Joe($ 3.50)(and not your traditional American pour, but a strong, almost espresso-like brew that had a bit of a head). We both ordered the Breakky Burger($ 16) which was a Wagyu beef patty, topped with a fried egg, traditional bacon, leaf of romaine, served on a brioche bun. All was super tasty and flavorful, as well as a filling start to one’s morning. The only negative was the friendly, but super slow wait server(she was truly a ditzy one). Without doubt we will return to sample other items on their menu.

First things first, Boheme’s cakes are delicious!!! Huge, chocolate deliciousness. The coffee here used to be on point and very cheap, that has changed and can now be terrible or really good. Much better coffee places in Richmond to go. They are always willing to attempt to cater for your needs and they always chuck a huge chunk of ice cream with my mars bar cake of deliciousness. They do great specials throughout the week $ 10 pasta’s, pizza’s etc and they are busy pretty much always.

Decent café to stop and rest weary feet when shopping on the Bridge Rd strip. There is a tasty selection of cakes and donuts. The cream filled donuts were amazing, freshly baked with warm cream inside. I also ordered a lavender grey tea which was a refreshing option for my shopping break.

I have ate at Boheme twice for brunch and ordered the avocado smash with poached eggs both times. What a great way to start the day. Chunky bits of avocado, with fresh dill, Spanish onions and goat cheese on top of two toasted slices of sourdough bread. The bread has a nice crunchy edge and chewy center. The wait staff is very attentive and exceptionally friendly, but not in a bad way! I look forward to my next trip to Boheme and promise to order something different, even though I really love the smashed avocado.

I went in here for coffee and cake a few nights back and the cake selection is to die for. The staff were very very friendly and this cake was simply devine! Coffee was very good this time also. Menu is still a tad pricey for what you get but you must go for the cakes!

Monday night = International Parma’s! We fell in love with Monday nights at Boheme when the Parma’s were still $ 10. Now they are $ 12.50, but it’s still a great deal! Fast and friendly service! We don’t go for the ‘dining experience’, we just want cheap Monday night Parma’s! We can get in and out within 30mins! But, we do go with friends as well, and hang around for a while for a drink and chat! Great place, and I recommend the ‘Mexican’ or the ‘Texas’ Parma :)

With so much competition in the inner city I’d have to think twice about returning here, despite the friendly service. We sat outside on the pavement as it was noisy inside(although not full by a long shot). The Osso Bucco whilst tasty was poorly presented and ‘grey’. Ditto re presentation of the salad. Unimaginative and thrown into the bowl. Come on… Step up to those great reviews.

Had dinner at Boheme on a balmy Melbourne Friday night. I ordered the Gnocci bolognese, which when presented to me, looked generous and the taste was delicious. We sat as a group in the centre of the big open restaurant. We were a little close to the seats behind, but apart from that, service was good, meals prompt, great atmosphere and looking at my friends plates, they all seemed to be empty by the time the dishes were cleared. I would definitely go back.

Exceptional service in a busy but not overcrowded Wednesday night. At first I was concerned by the noise level at a venue with such a high ceiling but it turned out to be a cosy din that added privacy to our conversations. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had a salmon special that was cooked to perfection with some scrummy accompaniments. I split a slice of silky smooth ricotta cheesecake with my guest. Everyone else seemed to be enjoying the Wednesday special of steak and chips.

I had breakfast here with a group of friends and I didn’t enjoy it all that much. The place was packed so we were offered a table near the stairs which seemed like an awkward spot to seat a group and it seemed like a makeshift table that’s not normally meant for customers. It was also near a massive mirror so we could all see ourselves when eating, strange. My meal also came out wrong, which they didn’t charge me for which I was pleased about. It was disappointing as this place always looks so busy so they must be doing something right…

There is no denying the food here is good as this place always seems to be buzzing. There are a good number of tables and I have never had to wait. The service is fast and friendly and the pizza is very tasty, I don’t know what they put in the crust but it’s divine. As we were leaving I spotted the most delicious looking yo-yo biscuits and couldn’t resist getting one to take away. I had barely walked out the door before i took the first bite and couldn’t stop, amazing melt in your mouth. A great value for money and good place to share a meal.

Boheme is one of the busiest cafes and restaurants along the Bridge Road strip. Relaxed and cool it is the best place to chill out on weekend morning or head for a casual lunch or dinner with mates. Boheme’s cuisine is a mixture of European and modern Australian flavours and caters to all different tastes. This is an example of an all-rounder that seems to work. I like going to Boheme for breakfast and I’ll usually get the banana bread with strawberries, pomegranate, mascarpone and mint for only $ 7.50. It is delicious and surprisingly light. At breakfast you can also get a decent fry up for under $ 16. The dinner and lunch menus are pretty varied and include steaks, salads and pizzas. I love having the salt and pepper calamari($ 22.90), or sharing one of the gourmet pizzas — usually the chorizo pizza that comes with olives, feta, rocket and caramelized onions($ 14.90). Expect fast service and a relaxed atmosphere.
