I had a really great experience of Cino to Go. It was the kind of place at which I wanted to be a regular. I had caught the train to the city early one morning to meet someone and just next door was where we were suppose to meet. I was my usual early self, so I decided to grab a coffee and this was the closest place. The buzz was electric at 7am. People in suits, people on phones telling so and so how very important and busy they were, chilled baristas and shit on the wall. I think there is a direct correlation between how much I love a place and how much shit they have all over. And I really did like this place. Good coffee, quite good coffee for Perth actually. I was impressed! And my cup said some cute shit, which also impressed me by no ends.

With these pre-packaged, ready to go cafes you’re never going to get an unforgettable dining experience. It’s all run of the mill — ‘out of work at 12, in for a quick bite and a chat and back at your desk by 1′ — all of which leaves you feeling a bit bloated and unsatisfied. I would not recommend spending your lunch break in Cino every day of the week — the service is mediocre, the food processed and lacking in personality and the coffee less than average — but if you’ve forgotten your lunch some day or fancy getting out for a chat with one of your colleagues then it serves its purpose as a satisfactory last resort due to its location and a nice seating area with umbrellas out the front. But really — if you’re eating here every day it’s likely that you won’t have the healthiest of digestive systems in years to come!
