They do a batch brew filter coffee that is delicious and complex that it defied belief. Must try.

I walk passed this coffee shop every day going through trinity arcade and i decided to stop in and get a coffee. Customer service was great it and the the shop is small but nicely designed. The coffee on the other had is a different matter it was milky and had very little flavor that being said it seems to have a a lot of regular customers. I will continue on my search for the best early morning take away coffee in perth.

Coffee’s not that good. I ordered a cappuccino which had very average milk texturing… Lots of small bubbles — I can do much better myself. They could smile if possible — but not like the barista in that ad where he charges extra for a lid!

This small little café was a surprise find in Trinity Arcade. I didn’t spot any moustaches thought, but maybe the father son duo recently shaved? Mo espresso offers big bodied quality five senses coffee. Like the café itself, there is a small and simple menu of wraps and a cute array of bakes. I treated myself to a bigger than normal– aka not those miniscule ones that are the size of a 50 cent piece, pistachio macaroon($ 3.50). It’s a bit of a hideout, great for relaxing and flicking through a magazine or browsing the newspaper away from the hussle and bussle of Hay street. However, I’m not a fan of the stools, despite decorated with moustache icons on them(I think I sat on Dali), they are higher than the bench, meaning there is an awkward lean thing happening. I agree with Nathan F that the«ambiance with nicknacks and funky seating» is a bit forced, it just doesn’t really fit or is needed, but I get what they are trying to achieve. I was conflicting whether it was a 3 or a 3.5. Mo is a good place for a quick pick me up when strolling through the city. I’ll be back!

Perth has had a flourish of interesting coffee spots of late, so entering this market you need to get your basics right and here Mo delivers. The coffee will please ‘hot’ coffee drinker, perfect for this cooler weather — without the slightest hint of bitterness associated with burning the beans or milk. Next I like a strong coffee again Mo delivered it was robust and full of flavour. The have a nice assortment of gluten and/or dairy free sweets if you want to try something — I did not this visit. As is often the case the have a moderate amount of seating and tried to create some unique ambiance with nicknacks and funky seating; to me it was a little forced, but the aesthetics of a coffee shop are not all that important. The two guys were friendly, however could have engaged the customers a little more if they wanted to make a stronger impression; however well worth the walk down(upstairs) Trinity Arcade.
