Sweet on Cupcakes

«I’ve experienced better» are my thoughts exactly. I had a cupcake from here yesterday — the first time since they relocated from their original Dalkieth shop. I’m afraid to say the cupcakes looked a lot more spectacular than they tasted. The butter cream icing is over the top and made me feel sick. The cake part tasted so-​so and a was a bit on the dry side. Shame.

Words, I am afraid will not even come close to how good the cupcakes really are. I was have a really crappy day, I couldn’t be bothered dealing with anyone. My day was brightened in the best way possible, when I found myself inside Sweet on Cupcakes. I couldn’t believe my luck. I had the best cupcake of my life. Honestly, hands down, this cupcake has changed my life. I now know if I am having a bad day at work, I can stroll right into this shop, and it will instantly be a happy day,

I have since returned here to get cupcakes for a friends engagement party. I had a specific item in mind which is never a good idea when you are shopping for anything but I was hoping they could do something to help me and inspire me.
What I ended up with were cupcakes that tasted like White Wings DIY buns and overly sweet toppings.
It seems that the onus here is on novelty this time and not flavour.
Pity.

«Oh my god» will be the words tumbling out of your mouth after you sink your teeth into the first bite of a Sweet on Cupcakes cupcake. They are seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten in my whole life. I have tried the cupcakes from the internationally famous Magnolia Bakery in New York and the Sweet on Cupcakes cupcakes are way better than Magnolia’s.
I have used Sweet on Cupcakes for corporate events before and they can do great imaginative stuff with logos, names and numbers on the cupcakes. They also do cakes for any occasion.
Baked and iced on premise each day there is no light weight sponge here, the sponge is buttery and dense. The vanilla flavour is the best and the icing is usually piled high 2 or three times as high as the sponge mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. I really can’t stress enough how unbelievably sell-​your-​first-​born-​to-​have-​one delicious these cupcakes are!
