Thanks for the great reviews, was in the area early on a Sunday morning and because of the recommendations we stopped in for breakfast. Great hole in the wall café with very welcoming staff. 3 of us went with the muesli with seasonal fruit. Delicious flavour and a nice light meal to start the day. Our coffees were well received with the cold drip being the standout. Fast service with a good vibe

Forget those little Honey Boo Boo kids that reckon they’re triple threats because they can, I don’t know, sing and dance and wear tutus or whatever it is they do at those little pageants of theirs, I’ve found something about the same size that’s way better and doesn’t embarrass anyone. Ritual is everything a suburban coffee shop could, would and should be. It’s tiny but that just makes you want to get inside it more. Okay so that sound all kinds of wrong, but you should see the queue of people waiting outside it every time I drive past. And lord knows the sad, dated little smear of shops along the Northbridge high street needed a transfusion of cool. The coffee is bang on, strong and smoky and just bitter enough and served in cool little geometric cups, and the almond croissants — dear god, the almond croissants — are moist and dense and filled with chocolate and what I think is probably marzipan but could be something different and equally delicious. Oh and the muffins are all time as well. Win + win = win.

Easily one of the most passionate baristas from the Dose Espresso team, opened up his own café, and the rest is history. This somewhat hidden gem is easily the best coffee in Northbridge, and one of the many awesome cafes that exist beyond the bridge. But why is it awesome? In my opinion, Ritual has consistently provided the best form of Gabriel Coffee in Sydney. There is a real desire to make fantastic coffee which comes through in spades. With single origin coffees always on hand, and the occasional guest roast, if you are driving by in need of coffee, this is where you should be stopping. If you were to peer into my brain files, then this groovy not-so-new-now café brought to us by the folks behind Gabriel coffee, would be classified under: Sup, ‘sup and SUP. Let me explain: Sup: Coffee sup. I’ve been know to dabble in a bit of coffee wankery but have not successfully elevated myself beyond a skim cap. Ritual can cater to more ambitious cold-filter drinkers but does a very fine skim cap for us more modestly refined types. ‘sup: Yep. It’s got it. The wassup factor. We’re an awkward cool bunch in Northbridge at times but we’re getting the hang of it! SUP: the best part. Paleo muffins. Yes, it’s still a cake but it’s made from cavemen or just fruit or something. Look I don’t know what but I had a Paleo plum, ginger and walnut muffin the other day that was so virtuous and delicious that I felt like anything was possible. With the sweet, gingery goodness infusing my veins surely I could do anything. I was paleo health personified and yes, that is why their muffins are classified under SUP. Stand Up Paddleboard… here. I. Come!
