I have driven past this place since it opened and wondered at the choice of location, and why Cervo? Finally decided we would give it a try, and we were pleasantly surprised indeed. Lovely interior, decked out in lovely polished wood from top to bottom, with an impressive stag’s head mounted on one wall. Clearly designed by a professional, with some nice touches. The waiter was thickly accented and suitably cheeky with a twinkle in his eye — he served us well. The menu is wide, but we were on a mission for a pizza, and we were not disappointed. I noted others eating the gnocci, and the fish, and they all seemed to be enjoying it mightily. The pizzas were very good, the base thin and crispy, the pepperoni spicy(my usual is meat-lovers or pepperoni with extra pepperoni, anchovies and chili) and enough chili to take my breath away when I bit into a hot bit. They do need to be busier, as the prior reviewer said, so get thee there with all haste, you won’t be disappointed.

It’s a shame that this place isn’t just a touch busier because it deserves to be. Nicely decked out in a brooding, masculine, deer on the wall kind of way. It claims to be a restaurant/bar though am struggling to picture this place as a bar. Wrong location or perhaps they just haven’t promoted that enough for it to really take off. I think a couple more inhabited tables would have added to the buzz, which was the only thing lacking in this venue — which is relatively new to the Northbridge scene(ha — Northbridge scene). The Head Waiter is a flirty delight. Very attentive and just the right amount of banter when serving our table of 3 Dames What Dine. Food was prompt and delish. I had citrusy salad with mushroom Arancini. Very tasy and just perfect with ice-creams for dessert. Visit. Do. And help this place succeed.
