Great food and casual ambience. Pizza and salad are awesome. But the pasta is amazing.

Australia was built on little mom and pop pizzerias. Oh wait I’m thinking of Italy, but whatever, we do it pretty good too. The restaurant itself is great, dark and dated in that inimitable 90s way, I bet there are some bottles of chianti in those wicker basket things floating around the place if I look hard enough. I got a takeaway pizza here on State of Origin night(I feel like the bulk of their business is takeaway) and they were under the pump but still filled my order in 20 minutes. When I went to pick it up the waitress and both chefs both said hello to me and there were a few locals milling around that were clearly regulars, it was a damn good vibe and I wanted to hang around there a little longer, maybe put on my leather jacket and lean against a wall sucking a toothpick while checking out girls that go past in those nice high-waisted jeans of theirs. The za is cheap at $ 19 for a large(this is the biggest size) and it’s good, honest pizza, just like nonna would have made.

The most bland pizza I’ve ever eaten. Just go to Domino’s instead. I don’t understand how pizza can be so blahhhh. We ordered 3 and they all have no flavour.

Simple and good. One of the best pizza shops in the area. I have only one question… Will the Crows Nest Festival committee wake up to themselves and organise a heads-up pizza battle between these guys and Barruso’s at the 2013 Crowie festival? Bring it!

Some Friday nights are always going to be pizza nights. The week has been long and a cold beer or a glass of red is just begging for a hot and cheesy accompaniment. Which is why it’s slightly annoying that Naremburn Pizzeria doesn’t do home delivery on Friday(or Saturday) nights, but their thin crusted, simple pizzas still go down a treat. These are definitely not gourmet or Crust affairs. Instead they poport to be ‘traditional Italian’ — which essentially means various combinations of tomato, cheese and oregano with an extra topping or two if you fancy it. There are also pastas, salads and gelati on the menu, and you can eat in as well. I’d definitely opt to sit alfresco rather than in the rather dark and dingy restaurant proper. Plus it’s BYO and there’s a bottle shop next door — so your TGIF drinks and dinner are well sorted.
