Ahoy there! Your brothers and boyfriends will love this joint and you’ll never be without a gift to give them again. They stock Obey and all those other street-wear brands boys covet. The guy in store was friendly and happy to help me out. Love the fit out and the place had a nice approachable atmosphere which is always great to see.

Capt-i-tan– hat’s off to ye! Situated inconspicuously at the end of Arcade 189 lies this treasure from the deep. This shop one a funky sea dog– decked out with quirkily nostalgic ship paraphernalia, an assortment of with mens Ts is displayed on suspended ropes and also around the multi level centre piece, as a stylised crows nest in my mind. Random skateboards and art works are scattered around the place with«different values» belt buckles, stacked up like gold bullions, on a bookshelf full of books, bling and caps. Candle bearing bottles, that have almost melted themseves in place provide a timeless charm and I found it physically difficult to appreciate the props without wanting to make them my own– seriously cool gear. The coolest thing about this shop(subject to the well executed theme) is the guys that run it. They’re super genuine, down to earth– real people who support local artists. They’re selling some of the Tees for $ 40 a pop– which is a steal for a piece of wearable art which is supporting the independent artists of Perth. And as a themed gallery, bring on the pirate parties! I was lucky enough to be there when Elvis arrived(a commissioned piece which is larger than life!) The Captains Ship brings street art in and spits it straight back out, the side of the ship, showcasing a bold and deadly orange octopus, simply a taster for the artwork inside. The creaky wooden floorboards, set a solid foundation for this ship which is sure to make waves when the word gets out. I would rave about this store to anyone, especially up and coming artists so, if you’re keen– jump on board. All hands on this deck!
