The noodle dish I got here was okay but not amazing. The satay flavour was great but it was a bit short on vegetables. The small seating area is a bit crowded so probably best to get takeaway and go somewhere else to eat.

My favourite lunch place close to flinders st. Love the hokkien noodles with satay sauce. Would have it almost every day.

I totally LOVE Yen noodles. The build your own box is fantastic if you like a bit of choice. I’m not a spicy lover so always go for rice noodles with sweet soy and either beef or chicken. Not a massive fan of the seafood mix nor the vegetarian purely because I’m not a tofu eater. But love the other two.
My only downfall on this place would be limited sizes. Their noodle box is great if you are starving. And at $ 8.50 you cant go wrong. But I wish there was a half size box for when i’m not completely starving but still crave noodles.
Also, their rice paper rolls are pretty awesome. Sometimes the chicken ones can be a touch dry but overall I really like them. :)

Yen is a build-​your-​own kind of noodle place — you choose the noodle type (hokkien, rice, egg etc) meat (chicken, beef, prawn) and sauce (satay, soy, sweet soy, chilli etc). It’s quick and pretty tasty. Try the hokkien noodles with chicken and satay sauce.

I am not the biggest fan of Yen Sushi Noodle. The flavours in the meals are not suited to my pallet but they defiantly are suited to a large number of people as they are incredibly busy. A couple of times I have been here on the recommendation of my fellow workers but I am always left wanting more flavour. You will have to try it for yourself to see it you like it as everyone is a little bit different in what they like and don’t like. They are very fast, so if you are in a hurry you won’t be let down.
