BEST fish burger in Melbourne! I just can’t seem to order anything else from the menu… I don’t want to… everytime I visit Blufish I just HAVE to have the fish burger! Chips with chicken salt are also excellent and a must to go with your burger!

Given that there are only a few tables at Blufish and that it’s located at the beautiful and busy Centre Place (the extension of Degraves Street), try to get to this café before 1pm to avoid the lunch time crowd.

One of the dozens of cafes wedged into tiny Centre Place. It caught my eye because I wanted seafood, I stopped for lunch, and I’m glad I did. Its tiny, and has only a few low square stools, but staff were friendly and food very good.
I had calamari (and they asked me if I wanted it grilled or battered and fried), chips (they asked if I wanted chicken salt), and salad (choice of four types). The squid was cooked perfectly — I could cut it with the edge of my fork. All that, and very filling, for $ 12.
And they’re licensed, if you want a beer.
I noticed they were closed on Sunday when went through.
