Famous for their macarons. They also make all sorts of dessert/cakes. They have all the mini desserts displayed on a shelf. The place is quiet small but there is a table that you can dine it at. It’s quiet lovely to have afternoon tea here. I really like how creative some of the desserts here but i find some of them abit sweet for my liking. The macarons on the other hand are on point. Tons of flavours with a chewy bite and crisp shell, what else do you need in a macaron?

Why did I not know about this before? Having tried Luxbite a few times before and not being impressed by their cakes at the South Yarra shop, I wanted to give it another go with their tarts and boy am I glad I did. Be warned there is not seating room as the place is quite small but you can get take away to carry all the sweet goodies. The tarts are flavorsome and they always run specials with a couple of tarts containing gelato. I will definitely be coming back to visit. The yuzu and calamansi were my favorites!

This place is an extension of the original Luxbite store over at South Yarra, dedicated entirely to Luxbite’s tarts(hence the«T»). They also sell a generous range of macaroons. Given it’s my first time tasting Luxbite’s treats, I asked for a recommendation of which to sought after first — I ended up getting a Kuma. Decorated in a face of a teddy bear, Kuma is a round tart made out of a chocolate cookie base, a blend of strawberry and banana cream, milkshake mousse, and topped with a layer of caramel. Those ingredients sound extremely delicious though unfortunately, it isn’t as amazing as I expected it to be. Perhaps it could be the overly hyped up sensation that has gotten me to presume it’s the ultimate dessert only heaven could manifest. I should have my expectations checked the next time. Nevertheless, this would not stop me from trying other offered tarts. They look pretty enough to devour anyway. Besides, these little bad boys would make amazing sweet gifts to your loved ones. Also take note that this shop does not provide any seatings. They’re all takeaways. I ducked one star out for the tolerable but not amazing palette experience. Yes, I do feel slightly pretentious for such a review. Bite me!
