Had breakfast here this morning. The place is neat and clean. A lot of good seating and looks like a great place to have a relaxing coffee. I got the veggie omelette and black coffee. The service was very good. Staff was very nice and friendly. Coffee came straight away and was followed up with the meal. The food was good as well. The person with me also got the bacon roll and said it was excellent. I will be back.

A no BS café is great seating. Don’t let its modest appearance discourage you. Food is quick and tasty. Coffee spot on. Breakfast menu is a little limited but the classics are all these. I made a quick walk from the hotel and was fed and watered in under 30 mins from leaving. Can’t argue with that.

No frills at 566. The place is very low key, some of the upholstery on the bench seating is torn. Came in on a Monday morning, the place was pretty empty right towards lunch time. One waitress serving the counter and tables, owners speak Spanish amongst themselves. Started with a flat white — too weak for me but the coffee does have an okay flavour. I ordered the pancake stack after seeing other Unilocalers reviews. The options are banana/blueberry pancakes, and they’re made to order. The stack is made of 3 pancakes you’ll likely have trouble finishing. Taste wise they’re just decent, nothing to really applaud. They do serve hefty breakfasts here that look decent. This place is not fancy by any means, but it will fill you up nice n’ good for your day. Prices are average+ I suppose. The price for the pancakes is $ 12.90, heftier breakfast plates with eggs and bacon etc go from $ 17.90 to $ 21AUD. I would not call this great value… The location is right next to a nomad laundry place so there are some shady types hanging around. I felt quite unsafe there as a single female even in broad daylight because one of these guys kept following me and then even came in a sat right next to me. Creepy. I won’t come back because it’s not that great overall.

Came here with a small group for breakfast after checking out Unilocal.Food was pretty good — I had the Egg Parma(two poached eggs on toast with some awesome white cheese, fresh tomatoes, olive oil and pesto) which was delicious, although the toasted bread was cold. Server very friendly. Friends got the pancake stack with bananas which was reportedly also very good, and very sizable pancakes for the price, and the Spanish omelette which looked alright but not as good as the eggs. All in all, would definitely come back for breakfast next time we’re in Melbourne.

Dined here for breakfast twice during my business trip to Melbourne. I was staying at the Crowne Plaza and it was just a short walk away. First day I ordered the poached eggs on sourdough & hash browns. The poached eggs were ok nothing special, but the hash browns were Delish! Second day I got the pancake stack & wow what a meal! It was huge and delicious also. The only annoying thing is the credit card minimum is $ 15 but I was on work expenses so ok to spend a little more. Would return again next time I’m staying nearby!

Love this place!!! Right next to YHA hostel and catered to our group of 8 superbly well! Loved the egg Parma(eggs Benedict on toast drizzled with oil and pesto), blueberry pancakes(so soft and fluffy) and salmon Benedict. Everyone in my group loved the food and coffee was good as well! Ate here every morning for breakfast!

Breakfast — table of 9. Passable food, but poor service which is seemingly based around offering every table, every dish which comes out of the kitchen until, by law of averages, customers get what they ordered. The omelets our table ordered were overcooked and quite bland, as were the poached eggs. Fruit salad was under-ripe and took a long time to arrive. The one bright spot was the coffee, which good all around.

One of the best coffee places in this challenging part of the city. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff too.
