Exceptional wines and knowledgeable, warm service — visitors to this cellar door get individualised service. Add a picturesque setting with views of the vineyard to the left of the tasting area — it just takes the enjoyment of the wines to the next level. I am a massive fan of Steven Pannell’s winemaking and was so thrilled when he finally established the SC Pannell cellar door mid last year, where Tapestry Wines used to be. On the weekends, you have the option of paying $ 5 to taste four premium wines. The quality of the fruits for the wine, which were sourced from low yielding, dry grown vineyards and expert wine making is obvious, so I highly recommend a visit here. Steven is known for his passion for Grenache, one of my favourite variatels. Steven’s use of open fermentation, natural yeast and maturation in large format oak ensures that the natural wine profiles are retained. Many of his wines are cellar worthy. The tapas restaurant on the veranda of the winery is also worth a visit on a sunny day. Casual dining that is also family friendly, in such a gorgeous setting.
