I’m a Vegetarian, and it’s hard to find places, especially for sushi, that really make it with what feels like love and true attention to detail. Not to mention, one without me having some form of allergic reaction. I finally found the place. The Pumpkin Avocado in either white or brown rice. Exquisite. Cucumber Avocado and Vegetarian combo… Wow! Their soups… I dream about them. This is bordering ridiculous, but quite literally, there is nothing that I have tried from there that I have been disappointed with. Nothing. I have Never been able to say that; for Any shop. For Malvern Sakura Sushi, I CAN say that. They are truly AMAZING!!! No matter where I go, whichever state, even different Sakura Sushi places, none of them compare to the taste and just amazing vegetarian food in general from Malvern Sakura Sushi. I Love Malvern Sakura Sushi! Thank you!

One of my favourite sushi stores, I get to visit it rarely as I live across town. Prices are on the cheaper side of average for sushi, but the main appeal to me is the range. They keep a range of standard sushi rolls(salmon avo etc), some other rolls(eg pumpkin avo), some non-roll sushi options(crumbed prawn tied on rice with a strip of Nori), and my favourite — a hot area with takoyaki skewers, spring rolls and more. They must have really lifted their game since the older reviews because they read like a different store to me!

The prices are reasonable — $ 5 for two rolls, filling, but not particularly tasty. I tried the crispy chicken(overcooked but still nice) and smoked salmon with what tasted like cheese and avocado. The staff were friendly enough, but too many customers meant I couldn’t eat my meal there. Good for sushi on the go, but by time I bought lunch there(1.30pm) there wasn’t a big range to choose from.

I love my sushi. I know my sushi. I make GOOD sushi. Ahem! I’ve come here on a kinda regular basis when I need a quick bite or takeaway from after work hours and as always, I never seem to experience a ‘A-ha’ moment or a ‘You Had Me At Hello!’ moment… The sushi never felt fresh and don’t even think of getting the egg sushi as I thought I was slurping a wet sponge. I know, it doesn’t sound right but I have seriously tasted better sushi and this one sadly leaves a sour memory, which I don’t like revisiting. I’ll leave it to you to experiment this sushi outlet for yourself. Let me know how you go.
