Auhentic, fresh pasta. Heaps of sauce and yummy goodness. I recommend the creamy chicken with cheese and chili. The regular is a good serving size and you very filling. Would be good if they had more vegetarian options and gluten free pasta.

Great for a quick, tasty lunch! Simple premise you choose your pasta and then choose a sauce. Both are then cooked fresh to order. Variations are no problem, I ordered a small creamy chicken(minus the chicken) with spinach ravioli. Flavour was good, and honestly a lot better than I was expecting for«fast food». Service was great, the lady serving was lovely. Located on Unley Rd this is a great lunch time option for nearby workers. I may become a regular!

I’ve been to Pasta Go Go plenty of times, probably around 15 or so over the last three years? It was always a popular spot for friends of mine to meet up at after their evening church service– cheap, hearty food with something for everyone. I’m not sure if the place has changed hands or not, but the last two times I’ve gotten takeout from Pasta Go Go, there has been a serious problem. I’m a vegetarian, and when I go like to order the vegetarian(spinach and ricotta-filled) ravioli. I get the vegetarian sauce with it, just to get really crazy. BOTH times I have been there recently, I have placed my pasta order over the phone and picked up the pasta in store to take it home. BOTH times I have arrived home, sat down in front of a movie and taken a big bite of hot, steamy ravioli… to realise I am chewing a mouthful of meat. I was given the beef ravioli rather than the vegetarian. After the first time this happened, I was a bit wary of ordering from Pasta Go Go again, but I thought I’d give them another chance and was very clear about stating that I needed the vegetarian version of the meal. No dice. The mistake happened again, and when I returned the pasta and asked for a fresh meal free of charge, I was berated for not ordering the right thing. It’s one thing to make a mistake(twice) with your food, but it’s an entirely other thing to respond to such mistakes with a rude attitude toward your customers. I’m really unimpressed with the service from Pasta Go Go these days, particularly when it used to be a great option for takeout on a busy night. I don’t think I’ll be giving them another chance.

This place was a find and a half, tucked away in a centre full of food options, it seemed like a reasonable option for a quick lunch. A brief perusal of the menu showed a lot of choices, mix and match your pasta with your sauce, and off they go. Served in one of those cool boxes you see in american cop shows, with the little wire so you can carry it, your pasta is in your hands indecently quick — I wasn’t holding high expectations but once unboxed and spread over a plate, I started to realise both the pasta(ravioli) and the lamb ragout sauce were both pretty good. I’d have been happy to find food this quality in a fully fledged restaurant, let alone in a Pasta takeaway. The garlic bread is pretty impressive too. Recommended.

It’s hard to believe that more of these places don’t exist! Not just the Pasta Go Go chain in Adelaide, which apparently only exists here and on The Parade, but at all. A million take away Asian, pizza and chicken shops, and barely anything for good pasta all the way across town. For lack of competition, Pasta Go Go does pasta right. Aiming for the home-made feel to their pasta, expect a good variety of rich sauces and thick pasta. Not great for the waistline but very tasty. You can mix and match as much as you like too, if you’re not too much of a traditionalist on sauce-noodle combinations. Other food is available like meatballs, garlic bread and lasagne. My only criticisms are a lack fo delivery and being a tad pricey for pasta! Then again, it’s a lot cheaper than a restaurant, and a lot less time consuming than spending your afternoon cooking up the perfect sauce.
