Eki Bento

Largely Impressed with the food and Service provided at Eki Bento
The way the store is positioned with the window may appear like it’s take away only from the outside — which I was surprised to find out there’s about 10 tables inside for dine in.
I ordered the Katsu Chicken Bento box which I was very impressed with as it was presented well, had a great combination of lots of little finger foods, as well as the main meal which was all delicious! The service was pleasant and meals delivered within less than 10 minutes following our Miso soup!
The waitress also came around and asked each table permission to take 2 Polaroid photos — one for the customer to keep and one for their wall. A great personal touch which is simple and effective!
Will start coming here more often.

Our local japanese take away and is sooo good! They put so much effort in making a nice bento box, (see photos) I already been back a couple of times and tried a few different dishes and it was all good!
Highly recommend the Teriyaki fish bento, salmon avocado sushi and the Chiraze bento. Don’t know why they never seem to be busy, quality food, fair price, can’t go wrong. Definitely give these guys a shot.

As promised, I went back for more at Eki Bento (Orrong Road) at the end of a busy Saturday when I couldn’t face cooking a meal myself. We were so impressed that it’s our ‘local’ now — our go-​to place to satisfy our sushi cravings.
As stated in its name, this place does bento boxes… and they are very good at them! This time around, I had the teriyaki chicken bento with some prawn gyoza on the side. The bento contents were fresh and delicious, the gyoza were not oily or soggy — they were perfectly cooked and came with dipping sauce. My partner had an eight-​piece salmon and avocado sushi roll and was most impressed by the quality (the only strike here was there didn’t seem to be any pickled ginger but we’ll remember to ask specifically for it next time).
Our discerning two year-​old loved her miso soup and the sushi rolls, as well as the sauce-​infused rice from my teriyaki chicken. She’ll be back for more, she assures us.
Yes, give these guys a go for sure!
