I went to A Day on the Green Sunday night featuring Moving Pictures, Diesel, Mark Seymor, The Whitlams, and James Rayne. The music was amazing, but honestly it wouldn’t really matter who was playing as you would still have a fantastic time.
Was a great impromptu night out (bought our tickets on the day), where you could just sit and relax in the sun with a bottle of wine and BYO picnic.
Kings Park is THE PERFECT venue for a concert! The grass gently slopes down to the stage so it doesn’t matter where you are sitting you can see the stage.
A Day on The Green is more tailored to my parents generation with a generally older crowd. However, I love seeing the music I grew up to live. Also the people watching is fantastic!
Tickets are more expensive than just going and seeing 1 band (around $ 80-​$ 100), however, when that generally includes over 4 bands and 6 hours of entertainment (4 – 10 pm) it is well worth it.
I highly recommend picking one of the 4+ other concerts at Kings Park this summer and going and checking it out! I will definitely be going back for John Farnham ;)
