I stumbled across Aaron’s magic hands on a dark night, in a dimly light nightclub. Aaron’s kooky balloon creature creations quickly proliferated the dance floor and beyond. The bright balloon creatures enhanced the slightly off-​beat atmosphere that is Deville’s Pad. I felt his talents must have been solely sourced by this weird and wonderful circus-​esque nightclub. His creations just seemed to match the mood so perfectly.
It was only when I went to his website that I realised this talented artist practices his balloon twisting craft in various places around the city. He is contracted to the City of Perth to create playful balloon creatures at various events and in various locations. He’s also a regular at Little Creatures in Freo. Friday Fun runs from 7 — 10pm and Family Sundays are an absolute treat for the kids, from 10am to 2pm.
It’s funny, because when I saw photos of Adam’s outstanding creations in an outdoors setting, being clutched by tenacious tots, they didn’t seem so kooky or twisted. Just cute and utterly adorable.
