Always great service and comfy chairs. The barista is friendly and prompt. Michael runs one of the best cafes in the kelvin grove area. I recommend their hot chocolate or peppermint tea.

Nice little bar/café with cooky/cosy décor that makes a welcome change from the usual uni bar. A nice little selection of beer, wine and other tipples, or they do coffee if you’re that way inclined. And if you’re hungry, they’ll order from the surrounding restaurants and serve it up for you. Recommended for those in need of relaxation after a hard day of work or study. The only thing is that the drink prices are perhaps not tailored to a student budget.

Room 60 may have closed it’s door in Kelvin Grove, but the lads who were dedicated to pouring Room 60s coffee have taken over the space, given it a little renovation rescue and re-opened as The Menagerie. The core offering hasn’t changed. It’s still a chill-as café during the day and comfy bar by night. It’s still the same coffee and wi-fi by day that Room 60 followers have grown to love and there’s still ample couches to perch upon as you set up to have a hot date with your laptop. Stopping by on my way to co-working at The Coterie, I loved that they now offer a 4 oz. take-away coffee option. The smaller the better IMO! For those that are peckish there’s a small café menu of pastries, muffins and the like. Pro Tip; take advantage of this spot before Uni goes back in March!
