I have a deep and passionate love for sushi and well this place just doesn’t quite live up to other sushi restaurants. I mean its not bad but the variety of take away sushi is quite poor. There is only one vegetarian option, which isn’t really enough. It was nice but nothing to special, it tasted quite bland. The service isn’t the best either, the staff don’t really seem to care about what there doing and the girl that served me didn’t seem to have any expression on her face what so ever. There are other places in the centre that do better sushi.

The one complaint I have of Perth is that there is really no place you can go if you have a late night sushi craving. I mean, if you get a hankering for a california roll at midnight in New York City, I’m sure there are a million places you can go. Meanwhile, in the middle of suburbia it was 8.00pm and I had a real hankering. I thought, you know what, get in the car and go for a drive. So as I was driving past Joondalup I saw that Mikasa, which is a storefront that looks out on to the end of the shopping centre, was still open. My prayers had been answered. I got myself a bento box and I was the happiest I had ever been in my life. No joke. So, if you get a «late night» craving, this is the spot.
