They won 7HOFM’s «best coffee of 2012» award, and a workmate swears by them, so I agreed to join her for a Saturday brekky at this spot in the middle of the mall. While it didn’t wow me, and my suspicions about the coffee tastes of 7HOFM’s voting listeners were confirmed, it was fine. A «ma and pa» kind of establishment you could bring your folks to without the menu baffling them(and speaking of the menu, Beaujangles badly need to print up some new copies… preferably advertising the«closed on Sundays» winter roster instead of just the summer schedule, but also because the current ones are a tattered mess). I had the savoury French toast, which was a pretty simple concoction, but one that I’d happily eat again(though with a side of bacon and/or maybe some relish). The juices are bottled but there’s a decent straight selection, and the breakfast menu is all-day. If you’re looking for simple breakfast choices around the mall, Beaujangles is where it’s at. Support independent business and stay away from the chains nearby.
