The burgers are really good, staff is sometimes a bit slow, chips are great, I highly recommend it!!!

I am a big grill’d fan and as I have migrated to the east burbs, this is the closest grilled now for me. The big difference between the one in hawthorn to the location I frequent in southbank is the fact it is a stand alone shop with the same excellent flavors I expect at grill’d. I will definitely be frequenting this location in the future when the CBD is not in my weekend plans.

These burgers seem really overpriced — all up I paid $ 18 for a burger, chips and a drink. Admittedly the quality was somewhat better than elsewhere, but not $ 18 better. I also found the restaurant to be way too loud to enjoy(music was playing at a more than reasonable level) and uncomfortable furniture. I might be nitpicking, but eh.

Well, it is Grill’d. What is there to say about Grill’d? I love it. Just as good as any of the restaurants, amazing food, good beer. Perfect place for a quick dinner. I came here tonight and enjoyed good service, happy staff and a quickly, but expertly made burger. Also, I suggest having the Little Creatures Pale Ale with your beef burgers, works like a treat. I ended up making a complete mess of it, but that’s just me. Grill’d is amazing, I’d have it every day if I could.

Kudos to whomever from Grill’d took the best of the burger shop culture in the US and improved it to make it work in Aussie Culture. I enjoy Grill’d either by myself or with the family. I leave having a burger hit, but without feeling like I’ve eaten a polystyrene brick a few hours later. The burgers are really well made. I’ve tried most of them and think you can’t go past a Mighty Melbourne. Glenferrie Rd Grill’d is my favourite because the layout works well. It’s got the benches and tables and you never feel crammed against the inner workings like you do in Camberwell. However, as a lover of burgers with Pineapple, I still can’t believe that it is not an option. Are we in Australia or what? Also, I’d pay extra to not have the standard herb salt on my chips. If I have it, gallons of water from a firehose is the only way to quench my thirst. But it seems to work for other Unilocalers… Grill’d lose some points for not using Iceberg lettuce. They Cos, which isn’t so bad(much better than that gourmet weed stuff trendy places have conned the masses into eating… Remember kiddies, unless you are Ee-yore, thistles are not food.)

For the most part, I really like Grill’d. Every now and again I come across just pure shit and the overpriced burger just ends up not being worth it. Every now and again paying 14 dollars for a burger doesn’t seem so bad. Thankfully, Grill’d Hawthorn provides me with the latter. Behold: The Might Melbourne — a vast assortment of condiments and goodies with a thick juicy beef patty. Yum. Grill’d chips cannot come more highly rated as well being 5 stars on their own. Order a side of chips with some herbed mayo and guaranteed — you’ll want more. Atmosphere: Great. This restaurant is fairly big and they have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating so you don’t have to really bunch up. Customer Service: The service was pretty nice here, although they seemed rather enthusiastic. My burger came out at a reasonable time — and that’s what matters. — I’m still not a fan of Grill’d’s overblown prices, but sometimes a delicious burger is worth it.

Every so often I find myself Jonesing for a good burger. And not a fancy-pants Wagyu gourmet-flame-grilled truffle oiled one in a top-end restaurant, but something quick and easy. It’s times like this that Grill’d gets a look in, and I’ve got to say that the Hawthorn store is one of the best I’ve come across. The seating area is great — it’s big with great use of the available indoor and outdoor space. The burgers are well made — the ingredients are carefully assembled rather than mucked together, which other chain stores can often be guilty of. The best thing? The staff are seriously awesome: attentive, funny and genuinely considerate of their customers.
