History
Established in 1988.
Dipalma’s was first established in 1988 in Hawthorn, where it was one of the first restaurants in Melbourne to serve gourmet wood fired pizzas and has earned its reputation on them. Even from the early days, we have always used the freshest ingredients and provided excellent service to our patrons. The homely and cosmopolitan ambience and varied menu selections has been our hallmark.
In 2000, we moved to 686 – 684 High Street, East Kew to our newly renovated premises. Since then the restaurant has became better and busier than ever. The success of this venture inspired John Dipalma to return to Hawthorn and open a second restaurant at 779 Glenferrie Road Hawthorn.
Since our inception, we were popular with patrons because we provided them a memorable yet affordable dining experience, our popularity has gone from strength to strength. Our restaurants cater for people from all walks of life and tastes, and they keep coming back, so we know we’re doing something right.
