This is a fantastic little Woolworths that I’ve frequented almost daily since it opened in May. Its’ format is different to other supermarkets which you’ll notice as soon as you walk through the door… I’m happy to see Australian supermarkets taking inspiration from the UK and US. It’s not quite there yet but it feels very Marks & Spencer /TESCO in terms of layout and the larger range of convenience products offered… if only there was a Whole Foods inspired salad bar! It sells plenty of ready made meals and lunch options including salads, sandwiches, wraps, curries, pastas, risottos, sushi and rice-paper rolls. This is great for me as I frequently work from home and can duck in and grab a cheap lunch. There’s a large range of fruit and vegetables(organic options too) and anything I’ve bought from the bakery has been fresh and delicious. I’m not a coffee drinker so haven’t taken advantage of their in-house barista, but I love the concept and the fact you can pre-order using Woolworth’s «Coffee to Go» iPhone app. As for variety, we’ve done big shops, small shops and ingredient runs in our PJs and they’ve almost always had the products on our list. Everything is well stocked and spotless — the store manager deserves a gold star! I’ve heard a few local residents complain about the prices being higher than normal but my husband and I keep a pretty close eye on prices and haven’t noticed a big difference at all.
