Lani can’t come to Unilocal at the moment. This is her extremely satisfied stomach stepping in as she lies in a blissful, $ 25 good food coma.
«Come to Yum Cha,» her friends said. «Sure thing,» she replied.
The newer of the Enjoy Inn restaurant wasn’t overly busy for this Saturday lunch service and while this took away from one of the key elements of any yum cha experience — atmosphere — it didn’t take away from the food.
Plates were a many. From BBQ pork buns, rice noodle rolls, dumplings in a vinegar sauce, steamed greens, fried prawn rice noodle rolls. there was a point the group of 5 raised the white flag and asked for any remaining dishes on their order to be cancelled. They’d tapped out. Happily.
And yeah, you read right. Between the five of them they paid $ 25 each. Talk about a suitably budget friendly and group friendly dining option.
There’s parking on-​site and a Woolworths across the way for easy cash-​withdrawals if you’d forgotten to get cash for a split bill.
I’m pretty sure Lani will be back, if only for the prawn rice noodle rolls.
