I had been here before over a year ago and didn’t have any great expectations as the last coffee I hadn’t left me underwhelmed, but this time round my experience was completely different, sat in the sun and thoroughly enjoyed the meal and relaxed over a beer with friends. When the weather is good this place is a really nice place to go.

Lamb came out chewy and underdone. Other guests got raw salmon. Poor, unfriendly service and shoddy food. Beautiful setting though.

Soooo we were lucky enough to grab a perch under the pergola and it was a pretty lovely view! Being a fan of beach views I could see why it was so crazy busy! Food was pretty expensive but really tasty, highly recommend the prawn and mango salad my partner split with some chippies. The chips, agh really really great! Overall it was pretty nice, the seating was a bit overcrowded but how can I complain as we managed to snag a table! Noice!

This place trades on its location. It’s expensive, the place is dirty, the service is offhand to arrogant, the food is average and the coffee is awful. The serves are large, though. In short, don’t bother.

My favourite place in Adelaide? Not quite, but it is up there. Busy, but never obnoxiously so. Convenient location near the beautiful grange beach, plentiful portions. Share some natural oysters, seafood pizza and a bottle of white wine and then go and soak up some sun and dip yourself in the warm SA waters. I’d put that on a «to do» list for Adelaide if I were charged with compiling such a list, but then selfishly(or «Shell-fishly» in this instance) I’d rather this place stayed just as popular as it is right now so I don’t have to queue for too long.

Can you believe as a Western-suburbs girl, I’ve only recently visited Grange Jetty Café and since I’ve popped I can’t stop(excuse the pun). My first visit was with some girl friends and it was a remarkably warm evening which mean the beach was busy but I managed to secure excellent seats in the outdoor sitting area. Looking around me I could see couples, friends, families and even the family dog casually sitting down with amazing looking food and enjoying a a relaxed evening with perfect beach front views. My idea of heaven. I was on a ‘detox’ with no meat, dairy, sugars, alcohol of that sorts but I still enjoyed my dinner, it was the special of the day. A baked barramundi fillet on a bed of polenta and veggies. It was a good serve and tasty — yet healthy! On my next visit, I returned with my partner and we sat inside this time as it was quite windy outside and this time I had a pizza and he had the burger. Mr-fussy-boots had his hunger thoroughly satiated and the gelati there is also a sweet end to a pretty sweet place. As for the red bull flavoured gelato — haven’t gone down that path yet but maybe next time!

Love Love Love this place! Been many times, great food, service, prices and the view is to die for. Great for a catch up coffee or taking the family out for a meal.

My partner & I love this place for breakfast — delicious meals, fantastic view, and fairly well priced, too! Any place you can get a full brekkie cheaper than at Billy Baxter’s is a winner in my eye. After stuffing your face with bacon, it’s lovely to take a stroll along the jetty & the ajoining beach also. We’ve never had a problem getting a table, but it’s often busy, so be prepared to wait! Haven’t had a lunch or dinner here yet, but my parents went for their recent anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it. Dog lovers, head here — there’s no problem having your pooch with you out on the deck whilst dining.

Really lovely relaxed spot to have a nice meal. Right on the beach but enclosed enough not to be windy/sandy. I had the Fettuccine Gamberi which I always worry will come too hot(it’s chilli) and with only a smattering of prawns. But the meal was perfect. There was no heat in at all but very tasty and there were plenty of plump succulent prawns. Yummo. The boy had a chicken parma and was plenty happy with it. Service was very, bordering on too, attentive. The dessert cabinet was incredibly drool worthy but we resisted… this time… we will be back.

I recently went here for the first time and was pleasantly surprised! The location is just perfect, right on the lovely Grange beach. We sat out on the decking and watched the sunset over the beach as we ate and it was just beautiful. But despite being right on the beach front, the decked area is well protected, so the wind wasn’t right in your face/food. The vibes were good. A few people had brought their dogs onto the decking and everyone was pretty friendly and chilled: I ended up playing with the SWEETEST labradoodle which the table next to us had brought along. Some people might mind this but I personally love all the puppy playtime I can get. It’s pretty casual in general, though there were a few people a bit more«dressed up» but hey it’s Adelaide, you get that everywhere. The crowd was interesting for a weeknight, lots of families and a group of squawky cougars full of booze. Service was really good — you order at the counter(both food and drinks) and from there it’s table service. We ordered a(massive) parmi, salt and pepper squid, chicken pizza and barramundi on sweet potato mash and everyone loved their meals: not gourmet but hearty and tasty and big serving sizes.

The Grange Jetty Café is located in the most convenient spot down at Grange. It’s right at the beach! So you can imagine how busy it gets during summer down there. During the times that I’ve gone to the Grange Jetty Café the staff have always been very friendly and tentative. They will often come over to you and ask how your food is and if there were any problems with it. Yes this can be annoying but they have only ever asked once! Not 4 or 5 times during your meal like some other cafes I’ve been to. Unfortunately the food isn’t the best. I’ve had salads and main meals and they just haven’t cut it for me. If I’m going to pay $ 20 for a salad then I’d like it to be a damn good salad! That being said, the ice-cream is DELICIOUS. It’s also not so expensive. It’s great to head down to the beach with your friends or go for a walk and stop to get some ice-cream while you’re there. Seriously guys, it’s heaven in the mouth. I’d recommend trying the baileys chocolate chip. It’s my favourite. Along with mint chocolate chip! Mmm… ice-cream.
