First time in Adelaide came to check out Glenelg, saw this little café tucked away on one of the side streets. At first glance, seemed like a great, inexpensive place — and then I realised why it was so cheap. Sitting down, the tables were wobbling all over the place spilling water onto the small, shabby table. Despite having cheap breakfast, the overpriced coffee came out burnt and looking as awful as it tasted. The white surrounding the fried eggs were raw and runny, which complimented the half burnt, half undercooked toast. Overall, it was a reminiscent experience, taking me back to budgeted high school camp breakfast, struggling to keep down the food.

Tucked away off Jetty Road in Nile Street makes for a good location, we tried it for a Sunday Brunch before heading to the movies. It is small but and has a cosy atmosphere to it. With just a cook and a Barista/Front Desk person the staff keep very busy, they were very good at what they do. I had the Big Breakfast($ 14.90) and whilst I have had bigger this was more than enough to keep me going to late afternoon. My wife had the omelette which was cooked perfectly and the coffee was big and strong. Loved the décor, food and service, so for somewhere to relax with a cuppa & cake or brekkie or lunch recommend you give them a try, just remember it is a traditional old style café.
